Blok Drop U drops onto the Wii U, we see a couple more Virtual console games, and Runner2 gets a sale.

This week, the Wii U and 3DS receive both new games and old. Blok Drop U is a neat puzzler that'll only cost you a couple McDoubles-worth of dollars. Meanwhile, you can control Commander Video at a discounted rate for the one-year anniversary of Runner2. Let's dive in!

Wii U eShop Games

Blok Drop U - $1.99

RCMADIAX brings a physics-based puzzler in which you need to get a little block to safety. This is done by removing the blocks beneath it, and making sure your block doesn't tumble with the rest. Currently it has 30 levels, but will have free additional levels in the future.

3DS eShop Games

The Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths - $14.99

Starting as a Kickstarter project, this game released on the Wii U last year and finally has landed in the 3DS eShop. Based on the anime, you play as three different characters in this puzzling adventure as they try to find the City of Gold.

Vacation Adventures: Park Ranger - $7.99

Ever wondered what it was like to be a park ranger? Look no further. In this park ranger simulator, you have the duty of recycling trash, visiting cabins, and setting up outdoor activities. We're not quite sure why they put "adventures" in the title, because that's pretty much all you do.

Wii U Virtual Console

NES Open Tournament Golf - $4.99

Mario and Luigi take the clubs and head for the course in this pre-Mario Golf game. There's 3 courses (US, Japan, and UK courses), three modes, and is even multiplayer. You can also simply upgrade for $1 if you already have the Wii VC version.

3DS Virtual Console

Adventure Island II - $4.99

An action adventure platformer with the ability to ride dinosaurs. But that's not all. This sequel to Adventure Island includes improved bosses and better controls. Oh yeah, and riding dinosaurs.

This winner is on sale on the Wii U eShop from March 10 to March 17. For how well loved this games is, it's a steal at that price.

NES Open Tournament Golf is terrible even by Nintendo-developed NES sports games standards. Easily the absolute worst golf game I've ever played. At this point I'm pretty sure Nintendo's not putting up Mario 3 out of spite.

I glimpse every week at what Japan is getting in the way of Virtual Console games, and then I look at the sunny shores of North America and what we get. There is a big difference, needless to say.
