So now that E3's main press conference for Nintendo is over, outside of Mario Kart which was announced for first quarter 2008, what do you expect from Nintendo in the future?

We got many of the big franchise games covered for this gen:

- The Mario Platform Title
- The Mairio Kart
- The Smash Bros.
- The Metroid
- The Zelda (though TP was technically made for cube so that's debatable)

and so on...

Anyway the point is, by March we will have all the heavy hitting franchises Nintendo is known for.

What other titles do you think Nintendo will put out after this stream of current games?

Definately a Zelda game made around Wii. Also I think there will be Disaster, a new Retro IP, and perhaps followups to the Wiisports series.

The jury is still out on whether those supposed "new IPs" (H.A.M.M.E.R. and Disaster) will even survive to 2008.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

I think Disaster is almost a guarantee to be honest, heck nintendo BOUGHT the studio.

And they cancelled every other game they were working on besides Metroid Prime at the time.  So Disaster could very well be gone and they may be working on something else.

And I hate to bring it up because it's almost become of cliche' of the over-hyped and optimistic. . . but a new Kid Icarus is certainly possible.

As far as Retro goes, I hope they now have the opportunity to work on something completely their own.

I expect a Sumo game for the Balance Board. With online.

I'm guessing Pilotwings, Starfox, and Punchout will be coming.

What about Pikmin?  That has to appear sooner or later given how perfect the controls would be for it

I expect a 3rd person 3D Metroid. Yeah, you heard me. Not that it won't have a 1st person mode. I think they'll try toggling between the 2 in the next game.

Mach Rider. Aim with the Wii remote. I expect it to be very fast-paced and arcade like.

3D Kid Icarus. That one is definitely (finally) coming.

A 2D Mario game. Nah, that'll never happen on Wii.

A true Super Mario RPG sequel. I'm really stretching with this one, but I think it could happen. The demand is there. With Square Enix getting so chummy with Nintendo lately, it's looking at least possible now.

On DS, I hope for (but don't expect) Super Wario Bros. Waluigi is finally playable in a non-Mario sports game and his character is finally justified.

Anything I would want to see has been mentioned in this thread already, except Luigi's Mansion 2 and 1080 3 with Balance Board action.

I believe that Nintendo has unofficially admitted another Zelda game and Animal Crossing are both in the works.  Miyamoto has said that Pikmin 3 is not in the works but that he'd like to do another, I think.  I'd be all over that.

I'd like to see a new IP that isn't aimed at the non-gamer crowd.  I guess Disaster qualifies, but that's not even developed by Nintendo.  I'm actually loving Wii Sports and strongly considering Brain Age 2 and Wii Fit, but I still look forward to something new.
That's my opinion, not yours.
