To add to this "rumor" (that sounds more like someone broke NDA from the Sega Gamer's Day thing), Shigenori Nishikawa is the director of MadWorld...He did work on game design for Resident Evil 4, so it appears to be in good hands...

And the DS title is being handled by Nudemaker (Steel Battalion)...

This damn well better be true, and if it's not I'm going to go to Sega HQ and politely ask them at gunpoint to make it true. I never even finished the first one because I was pissed at Sega for whoring the sequel out to Microsoft. If this is true true it'll be the first time people in North America can play through both games on the same save file, except for the people who chose to import from Europe and go through the extensive process of converting the save file (something I was considering). If this does happen I order all of you to buy it so Sega has no choice but to make a new Shenmue game for the Wii.

Agreed. I've said it since the controller was revealed - Sega's franchises are perfect for the Wii. Too bad their personnel is less than perfect now, but there's still lots of potential. I especially want Panzer Dragoon - that would be incredible.

Shenmue is actually a pretty good game, that was the other game I have for DC, damn I need to get a stupid power cable for my DC now so I can finish it up because I forgot I even had this game.

Shenmue was clunky in hindsight, sorta like Resident Evil stiffness meets Zelda adventuring meets Kung Fu movie script, with occasional fights.

But Shenmue II PAL was great for its time.

Shenmue II had better be good. The first one it doesn't matter as much because of all the nostalgia I have for it (Who needs Saturn on the VC when I've got one in my room in Shenmue?).

I still maintain that canceling the US release of Shenmue II on the DC and making it an Xbox exclusive was the worst thing Sega ever did. Worse than the Genesis add-ons, worse than the price of the Saturn, worse than the PS3/360 Sonic The Hedgehog (remember to capitalize the The, Sega registered The as Sonic's middle name as part of the trademark in order to make sure it was capitalized).

Just so you guys know, one of the rumors I heard about last year may be coming to fruition tomorrow. I can't get a confirmation from the guy, but I think it's Dead Rising. It's the only Capcom game besides Mega Man that I didn't receive a "no" about when I was quizzing him. I could possibly be reading too much into it, but this same person told me Dead Rising was a certainty a long time ago, so kind of odd he doesn't say anything now.
