My point, SC64 was a port of a PC RTS. Now Gobling Commander is built from the ground up for consoles.

First off, it's Mario Kart. Second go see this topic, you'll read all our answers to IGN:

And, calm yourself about Nintendo being all crapy, 'cause IGN said so...

Yes. Same here. Just read about it. Finaly, a RTS game made for a console. This game should be great. There's no reason a strategy game made for a console coudn't be good. Just look at AW.

IGN is getting so confused. "Annoying Fetch-Quests"??? What are they talking about!?!? This is what brings replay value to titles. You don't even have to do any of the side-quests in Zelda.

"Zelda for grown-ups"!? I think IGN is starting, or was it always this way, to be run by kids. I'm 30 years old and I love everything Nintendo. That's what I call games. I'm so tired of this school-yard talking. Hey, you don't like it, don't buy it. You like it, you buy it.

I agree with my fellow posters. Something is up with IGN's review. I'm not one that cries when a game I like doesn't get all 10's. But, the negative way that IGN's reviewer talked about each point in the game is weird. He always starts each of his points by a negative approach to finally finish up and say that it's good or something. Look's like a newby critic for IGN who would like to get some recognition...

General Chat / Games getting rare in Quebec, Canada

A French protective law came into effect last week (Loi 101). With this law all video games need to be printed in both languages on the box. Since only major distibuters (Nintendo, Sony, etc.) prepared the producted in advanced for this law to come in effect. Most of the games had to be removed from game shops. It's a boring site at my local EB Games store...

Now, what I'm wondering, will I need to go shop in Ontario for my games, or will smaller distributers take the time and money to reprint or print their box-arts in the two langages?

Well then Hemoroïde, you've just made your final 3 pick!

On another note. I just finished Viewtiful Joe on Kids mode and I get to restart will all my powers from the start. Do we restart in the next difficulty mode? When I save this game the level number is now in pink. But it still says Kids mode beside it?

Anyhow I started an adult game from scratch and man, is there a difference in the way you VFX bar drops quickly!

Yes, Viewtiful Joe is really that great.

Hum, hard decision... Do you often play multiplayers? If you don't, you could wait before purchasing Soul Calibur 2, Mario Kart, and go for the bigger single player games.

But, if you plan on playing multiplayer and single player. Hum, having played only the first 3 game in your list I can't really comment the last 3 ones. But, we know Mario Kart is a must have. Prince of Persia is getting good reviews and we don't know much about the final version of True Crime. I didn't like F-Zero (multiplayer ain't that mutch fun and single player's way to stupidly hard. No fun. Don't get me wrong I love hard games. Think Viewtiful!).

So I would choose the following 3 games(man, this is hard!):
1) Mario Kart.
Don't even hesitate. This is the must have title of the year.

2) Soul Calibur 2
So mutch dept. So many things to unlock. Multiplayer mayhem and a good single player story mode.

3) Viewtiful Joe
If you like to play the same game over and over, just to get better. And If you're more the adventure type, go with Prince of Persia (I myself would choose Beyond Good and Evil over PoP).

Good Luck!!!

I just restsarted playing today. Man, this game is awesome. I got bored/stuck at level 4, but now i'm in level 5 and I'm loving every minute of it. I can't wait to restart from scratch and be more Viewtiful!

Just a small question. In your saved games, does the number under the skull icon on the right represent the # of times you died?

I for one loved the sailing. Made me relax and look at this game as an Epic quest.

But I didn't like the last half/collecting part of the game. Felt too rush to finish it at that point.

And another question about the release date. Nintendo marks it as nov 17th on their website. But, my canadian pre-order coupon says the 19th?

Any info? Is this just canadian related?

Thank's

Nintendo Gaming / Zelda ad at my school
« on: March 13, 2003, 02:16:17 AM »
Well I just read EMG and didn't notice the ad, so I went back and looked again. It's on page 85.

I must say it's the only ad in this month in EMG that didn't catch my eye. It's sad. The concept is good but the artwork is bad. It's to dark and cheap. The new zelda game is a colorfull game, why don't they use an art style for the ads that looks either like the game or like the art style from the booklet? They need impact!
