>The critically acclaimed indie title will launch on Switch on December 7, 2024.

According to Nintendo, it's coming out this year (2023).

Nintendo Gaming / Re: What do you use your Switch USB Ports for?

I use one for the LAN adapter and one for a USB keyboard I use in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (for chatting or writing letters).

Apparently the only game in the series released in English was the 2004 PS2 release.

The only issues with importing DQ10 is that playing RPGs (even MMOs) in Japanese can be tough if you can't read the language.

Yeah, that's the one I have. Bought it on clearance for $20 at Best Buy (with the drum included). I've been craving more, but none of the other Taiko Drum Master games have come to America.

Yes, very true about DQ10, but a rhythm game won't be as text-heavy and hopefully won't be too hard to figure out. So I may import it when the time comes.

I love Taiko Drum Master, but it seems like almost none of the games come to America. Not a problem with Switch being region free though. Bring it on!

Almost finished with Disney Magical World 2. One of the proud ~10,000 who purchased a copy last month! I have 95/100 stickers, and I wasn't keeping track of how many total stickers were in the game. Thus, I'm surprised how close to the end I am after just about 24 hours of playtime. Really love the customization and how every little thing you do makes some sort of progress, whether it's to get new materials, craft new items, or get closer to gaining a new sticker.

There are actually 130 stickers this time. I just hit 106, and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. Although I am the type that tries to complete my item collection, so it may take me a while yet.

General Gaming / Re: What is the most obscure, retro console you own?
« on: November 21, 2015, 04:16:45 AM »
My most obscure system is probably the Atari Lynx. I just got it out last month to play some Dracula: The Undead around Halloween. It's not a bad system.

Why is it the wrong kind of history? You could just as easily say the pirates were the most dominant team we've seen so far. The negative slant makes it sound like the article was written by a sore ninja.  ;D

You had me at "online play."

TalkBack / Re: Castlevania for Nintendo 64 Review

It's certainly not a great game, but I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be. I still had some fun with it, despite its flaws. But I'm glad you got the title right, at least. So many people think it's called Castlevania 64.

If you haven't played this month, the Halloween and skeleton items are now available. Some will be at the shop and others can be given by residents for favors. So it's given the game a bit of new life for me.

Disney Magical World (even though I haven't received any hits for it yet)

Nintendo Gaming / Re: StreetPass Relay lowered to 3?
« on: May 10, 2014, 04:55:17 PM »
for the past 3 days I've not gotten any street passes on my regular stops, i.e McDonald's, Starbucks, etc. Are you guys getting street passes?

I didn't get any hits from two of my three usual locations the past few days. I don't know if it's coincidence or if something has changed, but it was quite unusual for me.

Yeah, it's a fun game that I'd recommend to Disney fans and Animal Crossing fans alike. I've decided to make a blog of my adventures in the game.

I got an e-mail yesterday telling me my 3DS XL charging cradle has already shipped. That's faster than I expected.

^Thanks for the heads-up! Filling out the two for Zelda: LBW and Super Mario 3D World now.

Yeah, it's crazy that we get a new Mario game and a new Zelda game on the same day. If I had to choose just one, I'd go with Super Mario 3D World. But if the store has Zelda in-stock too, I may pick them both up at the same time.

Nice. I'm going to try to grab a blue one if I can.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: 3DS games that use Play Coins?
« on: September 18, 2013, 06:34:16 PM »
Animal Crossing: New Leaf uses play coins to buy fortune cookies. Once your character eats the cookie, the fortune inside can be exchanged for an item (usually a Nintendo-themed item).

I'm playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, and I'm replaying Zelda: A Link to the Past.

If they can't think of any new ideas for F-Zero, maybe it's time they hire some fresh blood. The company as a whole needs to display some innovation (in software, not just innovation in terms of hardware gimmicks). That's one area they've been lacking in for a decade. If they're out of ideas, hire people who have ideas. Take a risk and create something new and fresh, please.

jvgsjeff, did you import the New Leaf or do you live in Japan?

No, but I got an early copy from Nintendo to blog about my experiences with the game. (The link is in my signature if you're interested).

^You don't need a holiday to earn a lot of money. Just go to the island and catch lots of valuable fish and bugs. Earning bells is easier than ever in New Leaf.
