Title: The swearing censor and "terrible poasters"

I like leaving things uncensored. I don't like to use dirty language myself, but I want to know what people are actually saying. However, I also enjoy the funny word filters such as "I am a terrible poaster" for the K word or the classic "sparkling innovation" for the G word. If I elect to leave everything uncensored, I miss out on a lot of pure comedy gold.
Can the censor and the terrible poaster filters be separated? I thought they were simply done with the emoticon code on the old forum.

As a side note, somebody explain the whole "terrible poaster" thing. I don't think I was active on the forums when that took place.

If you say the world Kidd.ie without the period, it is replaced with "I am a terrible poster"

No, I mean the story behind the phrase "i am a terrible poaster".
I think at the time there were a lot of people signing up for accounts for the simple purpose of trolling the boards. A lot of their posts stressed how GameCube was for babies and PS2/Xbox were teh mature. Most of those people were terrible posters (who often couldn't spell very well).

Well, seems we won't need that filter anymore then, the only ones trolling like that anymore are the staff :P.

On the previous forum, wasn't the K word changed to TIKU TIKU TIKU? I think the terrible poaster line was for these people (http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2002/07/22/).

if I recall, kidd-y and kidd-ie filtered separately. And it wasn't just people signing up to troll, we had some pretty terrible regular posters too.

the censoring feature was useless anyways because anybody could just use [xx] [/xx] in between syllables to fool the censor
