Do people have extras they're trying to get rid of?  I literally haven't seen a series 4 pack stocked locally, and am missing much of series 3 too. Don't have any cards that people need... but willing to offer cash if that interests anyone.

(If people aren't interested, that's also ok.  I've completed the first two sets and feel pretty good about that. Anything from here on out is basically a bonus for me.)
 ;D

I have doubles I have little need of. Feel free to peruse my previous posts about available cards I'm wielding!

From the list you posted earlier, I still need these cards:

207-Mabel
208-Leif
215-Isabelle
230-Velma
235-Spork
237-Bam
255-Wolfgang
281-Lyman
287-Claudia

303-Katrina
305-Celeste
306-Tommy
311-Lottie
312-Shrunk
316-Zipper
318-Stitches
320-Mott
323-Katt
331-Pashmina
334-Erik
338-Fang
341-Melba
346-Peewee
348-Olaf
350-Elmer
352-Rory
353-Elise
359-Apple
364-Zucker
367-Annalise
370-Jacques
373-Pompom
377-Sydney
380-Kevin
382-Lobo
387-Rowan
388-Maelle
389-Bruce
396-Simon
398-Angus

(You probably don't actually have all of those available due to other trades, but whatever you've got.)

The only questions would be pricing. Is $1 per card reasonable? Or maybe add an extra buck per special? That seemed to be a pretty common rate earlier, just let me know what you think is fair.

The cards I bought off eBay averaged ~$1.82/card.  This included shipping and was averaged over special cards and across all four series.

Sounds like a fair estimate.  Although a couple of questions:

Do you have any idea what the average would look like without shipping included?  I assume not a big difference, but I guess that depends on if you are buying lots of singles of multiple cards at a time.  (I'd rather account for shipping separately, especially since it's going to Canada.)

Also curious about what the ratio/numbers are for special to non-special cards that you purchased.
(In case my cards are reading: don't listen to that, you are all special to me!)

Straight up: Paying $1.82 USD per card for close to 50 cards would exceed my bankroll at the moment, although I'd likely still be interested in a delayed order.

With no eBay seller fees attached, I'd also probably try to negotiate for a slightly lower rate.   ;D

Ejamer, not a problem. Let me see if I have a potential trade with Dan Laser first and then I'm sure we can sort something out regarding that smorgasbord of extras.

No rush at all from my end.

From a collecting standpoint, if I don't get another card I'll be satisfied... but since they are bring Amiibo functionality into New Leaf I'll happily add as many as I can within reason. That's just such a great game, and being able to somehow visit my favorite villagers "on demand" would be a great feature.

Most of the purchases were with "free" shipping. :/

Gotcha. In Canada people seem to include shipping in the base price less often (and when shipping from the US into Canada many eBay sellers charge $12+ for shipping, which is utterly ridiculous).

I can do a bit of a trade with you. Unfortunately, Kairon and UncleBob claimed some of the cards I could have helped you with. Blame them for being greedy!

My trade proposal:

I send you: 310, 325, 350 and 394.

Dan Laser sends me:  321, 354, 357 and 365.
HEY! I protest these attempts to impugn my character! I am an upstanding member of this community!

To prove it I propose the following trade between Dan Laser and myself:

Kairon sends Dan Laser: 306, 316, 318, 364, 367, 377, 387 (2 specials, 5 regulars)
Dan Laser sends Kairon: 354, 360 (2 regulars)

I don't have much use for extras at his point and would love to move even 2 cards closer to my goal of completeness.

Now, now! Save the name calling until after the last card has been traded!

Yes, both of those deals sound good, thank you! kairon, I'll send you some Bells through PayPal or something, to make up for the difference? Maybe I'll try to pick up a couple packs to see if I get anything you need.

I'm having troubles finding them locally here, too. It seems only EB and Toys R Us actually has them in store. Not that ordering online is that inconvenient, but some times you want them right away.

Ejamer, still on the lookout for extra cards? I'm going to update my card collection this weekend, order anything I'm missing on EBay, then get back to you with confirmed doubles that I can send your way?

A little late to reply - but yes, still interested in buying doubles from series 3/4 if people are looking to get rid of them.  Send me a PM if you are interested?

Hi Kairon. Do you still need 299-Francine? I'd like 132-Vladimir if you are interested in trading. If one card isn't enough for a trade, I can buy some more from you. I don't have anything else you need.

Glad to see you post!  If you don't get a quick response, just wait until the next series of cards gets released - at that point, the usual suspects will surely show up again to trade and collect.  In the lull between releases I'm not sure how active everyone is though.

PS - Be sure to send me your mailing address, so that I can ship Rasher and a few extra cards your way to help you get started!  Happy collecting!

Thanks for the advice and offer; I just responded. Your generosity is so fortuitous too. I haven't been able to game for a week, and when I launched New Leaf last night, I learned my friend Rasher moved on to greener pastures. I thought I was in the clear because I just talked him out of moving a few weeks ago. You've saved me from mourning my loss  ;D

Hey Ejamer, Rygar,

Sorry I haven't been able to respond, I haven't had a time to re-inventory and confirm all my extras yet. My hunt for existing cards SHOULD be nearly over though, so I really do intend to offer you both a bunch of my extras! Just... give me some time to confirm I actually have what I say I have!

Ooh!  I'm really keen on 162 and 197 - those are the only two cards I'm missing from Set 2!  A local trader backed out of a potential trade earlier, and eBay sellers from the US were charging $15+ for shipping per card, which killed my interest.  Would be very excited to buy or trade for those cards if possible.

I'm also missing the cards listed below, and would be willing to buy if you are selling.  But instead of hoarding all your doubles, see what Rygar is interested in too!  The two mentioned above I'd be super excited about - the rest are all "nice but not necessary" since I'm still pretty far from completing either set and not expecting that to change at this point.

Series 3:
207-Mabel
208-Leif
215-Isabelle

Mostly @ Rygar, but also to anyone else perusing who still needs cards: I've got the following extras available if you were interested in trading/buying any. Pretty flexible on value since they are all extras.

003, 006, 010, 012, 015, 018, 020, 026, 027, 031, 032, 034, 035, 044, 049, 050, 055, 059, 063, 069, 073, 074, 076, 080, 081, 085, 091, 093, 095, 099, 100, 105, 106, 113, 119, 120, 122, 126, 129, 135, 136, 137, 142, 152, 154, 155, 160, 168, 189, 195, 218, 234, 239, 279, 284, 300, 304, 393

Sorry for not listing names, but just the numbers seems like a big enough list.  :)

Cool beans! Sorry it took me so long to update my offerings guys!

As for trading/buying, I'm sure we can come to some sort of arrangement. I'm not really in this for profit, so in truth I'd be happy with just something to offset my time and trouble and shipping and stuff. Let's make a deal!

Oh, but is anyone going to go after that new set of 50 cards? 'Cuz if so... I'm totally willing to trade/buy lol.

I actually just FINISHED my collection of all four sets! YIPPEE! So everything from here until those next 50 cards is icing on the cake!

Awesome!  :D
Did you get all the special cards too?  (Pack-ins with different games, or the Japanese exclusive ones?)  I'm not hardcore enough to get everything - but do hope to keep filling some of the gaps.

I'd rather trade than just buy (because I think that's more fun and rewarding for everyone) but have concerns about the next set of 50 cards being available here - local stores hardly carried wave 3 or 4 of the existing cards and I rarely shop online. That's why my collecting ground to a halt mid-way through wave 3: I just couldn't find any packs to buy in the town where I live.

So with that in mind, unless there are other things you'd be interested in trading for, buying cards would probably be the best option. Do you want to wait and see how many rygar wants first?  Otherwise I can just make an offer on the 31 cards I listed earlier. (Hint: My offer would probably use Uncle Bob's $1.82/card number listed earlier in this thread as an estimate for "fair value"...)

Please go ahead and make any transactions for the cards you need. My collection is so small that I don't have specific gets yet other than the particular characters I'm attached to from actual gameplay.

Don't worry about the next set ejamer. If you can't get them locally and I can, we can figure something out I'm sure.

Oh man, that's UncleBob level hardcore. I've just got a Shadow Mewtwo card in a spare binder spot, that Meli/Melo misprint from series 1, and that unopened triple card set from Amiibo Festival. I think that's as far as I'm able to go!

Will do. I'm excited for when you get back because it sounds like you might be able to take a lot of extras off of my hands!
