Title: I need help- support group thread
Post by: marvel_moviefan_2012 on March 18, 2015, 11:13:23 PM
Alright long story short, I need to get in shape. Recently I had gotten off soda and worked my way down to a respectable weight. Now I was doing fine, buying new clothes, working a great job, met a nice woman, even bought a new car things were going fine.

Things were going good and then juggling school, work, and girl friend began getting to me the stress and all. So I withdrew from school shortly before my girl friend broke up with me. Needless to say back to binging on soda and junk food I not only gained all the weight I lost, I went a little too far in the other direction. Its not an easy thing this life stuff so I am asking for support, someone or group of friends who can encourage me and keep me in check. I normally just turn to my sisters or cousins but they have lost the ability to affect me as well they all suck so I tend to tune them out these days.

I am moving to a new city and starting a new school, and new job, in the fall so that gives me from now to August to get back in shape and try to turn things around.

If anyone has tips, advice, suggestions, words of encouragement please share them here. Others in the same situation feel free to make this a support thread for those who need support.

Never shop when you're hungry! If you plan ahead, you will usually avoid justifying the bad food just because you're in a hurry. Find a replacement snack that you like, such as trail mix or grapes, and healthy drinks like simple lipton homebrew type of stuff.

Live within your means, dur, but also keep adding to your savings until you're an old man. If you don't have money to add to savings, cut, cut, cut to the bone. You may or not be at that high-paying job forever--tomorrow is never promised! Don't withdraw from school, that kind of dithering can become expensive and you're only putting off something you really want to achieve. If you can't cope with stress and tend to make these big decisions rashly, you may need to chat with a doctor.

Don't tune everyone out. Try and see the good in everyone. Examine your interactions and see if you can spread friendly vibes and improve the mood of the people around you. Choose drama-free friends. Find a ch--ch. Hope that helps! PM me for fun and friendship  :cool; :mario:

well looks like my need to change my diet has caught up with me. Had what doctor called an anxiety attack today and first thing she recommended was no more caffeine. I will be meeting with a councilor also starting next week hopefully they can get me the help I need.

I had to cut out caffeine a year ago. It was giving me headaches, making me nervous, affecting my sleep. And I'm a calm person who had been drinking it for a long time without problems so I don't know where it came from.

Las week I had four ounces of iced mocha and it messed me up for eight hours! I dont use caffiene for medical reasons so it was a shock to the system.
