The Saints and the Packers both played the worst games they've played all season this weekend. Giants got hot at the right time; Saints and Packers got cold at the wrong time.

5 turnovers and we were still in it to the end. Our loss to the Rams was probably the worse performance.

What really fucked us over wasn't the turnovers, it was the fact that Pierre Thomas was injured after three plays. It put all of the pressure of running on Sproles which is not his element, resulting in some viscous hits that literally scared Sproles from playing like his normal self.

This wouldn't have been a big deal if Mark Ingram was healthy. In fact, if Ingram was healthy we would have one handily.

Lastly, the person that tackled Thomas lead with his helmet causing a viscous helmet to helmet that everyone ignored.

I'm alive, just depressed. :(

I mean, you can't win when you play like garbage, and that's what the Packers did. Disgustingly, if they didn't screw up one of those potential TD catches, they were back in it. And the Hail Mary play makes me sick, but they honestly had the chance to tie/win despite that, they just couldn't put it together offensively.

I just hope we can have Harbowl II.

It also put Roby in the back field to return kicks which he clearly forgot how to do. He ran out of the end zone almost every time and even dropped the ball. You could see the 49ers kicking it short towards the end because their special teams was just dominate.

I'd rather get stabbed in the chest by Ray Lewis than watch the Ravens in the Super Bowl again. But I also only rooted for the Patriots last weekend out of spite for Tebow.

Basically, I'm hoping for a nuke.

Welp, there goes the Harbaugh Bowl.

Guess now I'll root for the Giants, so we get a Super Bowl XLII rematch.

The best regular season ever was followed up by the worst postseason ever. I think the only way this Super Bowl could be worse is if it was another NFC North team instead of the Giants, and the Patriots were actually just Satan.

The matchup in the Super Bowl may not be good, but the postseason has been excellent in terms of how good and close the games have been.

EDIT: Also, neither Pittsburgh or Baltimore can win the Super Bowl, which is all I asked for.

Kyle Williams. Kyle f***ing Williams. One of two men I hold personally responsible for letting the two teams I least wanted in the Super Bowl to reach the Super Bowl.

For the record, the second man is Lee Evans. Both of these morons need to learn how to secure a ball! >=(

Ah well, at least the games were close.

You're blaming Evans over Cundiff? That end zone play wasn't Evans' fault; it was just great defense from the Patriots, possibly for the first time all season.

Nonsense. The defender's contact wouldn't be enough to knock out a ball if Evans had bothered to secure it. He just relaxed his guard early, and thus ran afoul of the Megatron Rule.

While Cundiff's chip shot was the bigger error, Evans should have had that ball.

Playoffs might have been exciting for someone not invested in any of the teams, but never have I wanted to vomit more during a playoff season. At the start of the playoffs, this was the worst possible outcome for me in my head. It came true. The only way it could be worse is if Brett Favre was the QB on the Giants, and the Giants were the Eagles/Vikings/Bears instead. Or if Brett Favre was on the Jets and they repped the AFC.

At least the egg the Packers laid is still superseded by the Steelers losing to Tebow.

My Browns have hired former Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress as their offensive coordinator. I'm not sure how to feel about that. The Browns needed one, but that's because Pat Shurmur sucks and shouldn't have been hired as head coach in the first place, so I'm not ready to get excited over another Holmgren coaching decision.

Childress kind of sucked as a head coach, but lots of guys who are great coordinators suck as head coaches, case in point current Browns defensive coordinator Dick Jauron. He was OC under Andy Reid in Philly back during their great run, but he didn't call the plays there, and play calling is the one area where the Browns need the most help.

No Superbowl talk?

My boy Dave Toleffson #71 on the NY Giants
(a friend from HS)
is now a 2 time Superbowl Champ and both times against the NE Patriots!!!

he actually joined their team back in 2007, the last time they went to the Superbowl and beat the NE Patriots.

I was watching it and was away from my laptop and it was a crazy game. I was watching it at a neighbors since well my house is full of women. I was rooting for the Giants since I was rooting for the NFC team since the Eagles are my team and they are a NFC team as well.

I hate the Patriots and root for whoever plays against them, and New York is sort of a New York team (they and the Jets are actually New Jersey teams), so I rooted for them and am glad they won.

Wow, what a year. We went from thinking we weren't going to have a season to a Super Bowl that came right down to the final play. The winner of the big game, nonetheless, was a team that looked like it had no hope in early December, and they once again deny the Patriots a title.

I fully expect Greg to open with minor jabs of religion and then blurt out, "I believe in Eli!" on the next RFN. Or something akin to last year. ("F*** off, Belichick!)

Why if one team is from New York (or New Jersey) and one team from New England did they play in Indiana?
