Happy Birthday! Mine is on the 8th. When Brawl was delayed until the 9th, I remember people being mad, but I was psyched because I could afford it then. Still, two years in a row with great releases on your birthday is pretty sweet.

Oh, I just noticed that there is a birthday thread.

Yeah, I turned 25 on the 3rd. I was born on my Mom's birthday as well plus my Dad's is on the 31st of March. So I'm visiting them for the week.

I stayed at home all day with my little sister and watched old movies like the animated Hobbit movie and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It was her first exposure to The Hobbit.

Not very exciting, but I may try to do something this weekend with some old friends that also have birthdays in April. There are three of us who are all the same age and born in April. We usually try to do something every year.

Now, my dream birthday event would be to get three other people and play all the way through the original Crystal Chronicles and Zelda Four Swords on the Gamecube. I've wanted to do that for years but could never get more than three people for a small amount of time.

How did you just now notice this thread? It's a sticky topic, you can't miss it because it annoys you.

So, cake or pie? Most people choose cake but I myself always have a birthday pie. Apple cinnamon, nothing better. Mm.

Good luck with your Crystal Chronicles/Four Swords party, I hope you can gather the necessary equipment for that. That seems more difficult than rounding up people who'd be willing to play.

I'm not really into celebrating birthdays (Hooray! You're one year closer to diminishing beauty and death!), I just use it as an excuse to have pie.

This birthday thread has some meaning to me however, as it's the reason why I started posting here. Go back to the posts starting on December 5th if you want to know what happened.

Mmmm...

I have most of the equipment here and there, I have a GC, 4 cables and a regular GBA and an SP. I also borrow my sister's SP when I know I'm going to try and play it somewhere.

Ironically it is finding people willing to sit down and play it with me. It makes me wish I could transport you guys to my place for a few days via Star Trek transported machines to play.
There are one or two people who say they are willing to play but usually when I come over they are engrossed in Soul Calibur or Smash Brothers (any given version).

I'll go back and read the December 5th stuff, Mop it up. I missed this thread because I don't go into the general chat often and usually I focus more on my "Show new replies to your posts" page. That is why I can miss some really good new topics until they are well underway or beat to death. That's why I completely missed the Unintentional Racism blog and by the time I noticed it was many pages deep and seemed to have wound down. Now I try to go to the main page first so I see any new news or blog articles. I have a quick link to both the NWR main page and the forums and I open both in different tabs.

Cheesecake is good too... but is it really cake? Seems more like a pie to me... but who cares because it is good stuff! Did it have real cherries on it or that red goopy sugary stuff? Cherry pie is hit or miss for me, if it is too tart then I won't like it.

Don't worry, Mop it up, I already read it. That is a unique way to get roped into the forums.

It had goopy stuff. The pie was one of those Marie Callenders pies. They weren't all for me, remember it was Mom and Dad's birthday as well.

Speaking of Pie, if you are ever in Portland there is a place I go called Bi-Partisan Cafe on Northeast Stark close to 79th Street and they have very good pies there in a cavalcade of flavors; peach raspberry, apple, marionberry, triple berry...making me want more pie. They also serve some of the best coffee in Portland: Stumptown Coffee. Heaven
