General Gaming / Phantasy Star Online: XBOX Version.

Can a person just pop in the game and play it offline?

No.

If you have a XBox and want to play PSO, regardless of whether you want to play online or offline, you need to subscribe to XBox Live, right now offered for 49.99.  PSO on the XBox is retailing for 39.99, 10.00 less than GCN, but with the GCN version you can play it offline for just the cost of the game, nothing extra is needed, except maybe a memory card.  >The GCN version doesn't require any subscription that I am aware of to play it offline.  PSO was offered with the XBox Live in Japan so it was a requirement to subscribe to play.  MS just didn't take the option out for America.

That would explain why it says my current browser is IE 6.0 in my profile while  I am using MSN Explorer.

Well I set my browser to accept cookies from PlanetGameCube.com to always, if that helps.  I didn't have a problem last night though, and nothing changed today from them, oh well.

The biggest problem I had was that I could not log in.  That seems not to be an issue at the moment since I am here now.  I ran into the same problems baberg mentioned.

Also the forum news, I think, the first topic has only one post but before you go in says there are more.

I run both MSN Explorer through MSN 8 and IE 6.0 depending on what I am doing and got it on both, here at the forums and at planetgamecube.com.

At least it's nice to know it's not something I need to fix

Please disregard my email.

Nintendo Gaming / Final Fantasy 3 on Game Boy Advance?
« on: February 01, 2003, 10:09:02 AM »
I knew about all that RABicle.  I was just wondering if Square would bring it over to GBA, because there had been something said about it a while back.  I don't think Square would port it to the PS1 like they did with FF 1 & 2 unless they put another game with it.  And I don't think they would put it on the PS2 because not many people I fear, will spend the price they would probably set for an old a game as FF3 is (anything overe 29.99 will be too much).  On the GBA it would be okay since the graphics would not stick out like a sore thumb, as both FF1 & FF2 will when it is released here in the States in April.  Europe is getting the game in March from what I have read.  Don't know about Australia though.

Does anybody remember a while back when there was talk about the Wonderswan remake of Final Fantasy 3 being brought over the the GBA?  I think that Square should go ahead and do it, because I want to play the damn game already.

NWR Feedback / Begone, Evil EZboard!

It's the society we live in.  Nothing is ever good enough.  EZboard was okay, nothing wrong with it, fundamentally.  At least I didn't have a problem with it, nor did I get too bothered by the ads.  After a while you get used to them.

This is nice.  Will take some getting use to.  Me's feeling like I just walked through the looking glass or something like that.  Me like.

TalkBack / Haven Canned for GameCube and Xbox

Must have sucked on the PS2 if it didn't sell.  Kind of kills the theory that if it's on the PS2 then it will sell like hot cakes.  The GNC, or any other system for that matter, doesn't need any more crappy games.

Really liking the new forum.

To play this game on the Xbox, offline or online you will have to have a valid Xbox Live account.
Another thing of note: players in North American using the NA version will not be able to connect to players from other regions. The game will sell for a discounted price of $39.99, come with 60 days of free online play. After the 60 day trial period, players wanting to play the game over Xbox Live will have to pay 8.95 a month.
