It's always sad to see good websites go under, it's even harder to swallow when the people who work there are as dedicated, intelligent and likeable as the bunch of folks who had until recently been plugging away to keep 1UP alive.
 
From incisive analysis to legendary podcasts, 1UP has been part of my gaming diet for years; and while for the last few of those years it wasn't quite what it used to be, at the very least the site continued to provide a voice worth listening to.

1UP was a "corporate" gaming site that I actually had still kept up with.  I long ago stopped keeping up with IGN, Gamespot or Gamespy so to lose this really sucks.

It's sad, but if I'm being honest I hadn't really followed the site much in the last four years after they got bought out and laid off most of their staff. Before that though, they were the best of those corporate sites, by a large margin. 1Up Yours remains the best podcast or radio show I've ever listened to, especially the Luke Smith era.
