Yes, I meant 3DS or eShop games. DSiWare doesn't really count as they are intended for the DSi. That's okay, though!

Because that was a 3DS list. Last time I checked, Skyword Sword wasn't on the 3DS.

Kirby Wii isn't on the 3DS either, nor are several of the DS titles mentioned.  :P:

Still waiting for Profressor Layton and the Mask of Miracle for the 3DS.  Was an Japanese launch title for crying out loud.  1 1/2 years later--still waiting :( .

The lack of this game at E3 was saddening.

Uncle Bob, another thing about your list that is probably off is that you are probably counting casual games like Wii Play/Fit/Sports/Music, Link's Crossbow Training, and so on, as well as ports or collections such as NPC Pikmin 2 or Metroid Trilogy. I don't think those should be counted as new games. If you take all of that out where would your stats stand then?

I appreciate the effort you put into it and it is very interesting, but as you yourself said its not accurate.

Why wouldn't those games count?

Is this only a mobile problem? I haven't had any ads like that on my laptop.

I'm just going to say this: If people just bought a Wii and nothing else, the attach ratio wouldn't have been near PS3 levels for the longest time. The revisionist history (now hardware sales don't determine first place in konsole warz?) and anger from the typical message board hardcore (who is increasingly more obnoxious with every year with their annoying entitlement and hatred of other people entering their hobby) for the Wii and now Wii U is just sad to me. I sort of hope the Wii U does extremely well, just to see the whining and excuses being made by the Western press and gamers. It will be a sight to behold just like it was this past generation with the Wii's success. Because between gamers and Nintendo, I have to choose the lesser of two evils, and that's unfortunately Nintendo.

I received a copy of Monster Tale for the Nintendo DS. I'm excited to start it, but I have Pikmin 2 and Tales of the Abyss on my plate. Oh, poor me.  :P:

For the reason above, the Wii was my second favorite Nintendo system just behind the Super Nintendo. It had Nintendo developing some of their best games and the Virtual Console was a great feature.

As a young'in I didn't branch out to franchises I hadn't really heard much about, so I am eager to try these games out.

I will take a physical copy over digital any day so this is nice.

Important to note about the CNN article is that the original writer didn't confuse the Wii U with the Wii. His editor added in how the Wii U was just a new controller for the Wii without his knowing.

Level design and actual platforming alone, New Super Mario Bros. Wii was more enjoyable to me than Rayman Origins, so this game is a no-brainer.

Watching the Iwata Asks for the game on the Nintendo Channel turned me on the game. I like the design philosophies being shown. Yes, the Wii U iteration looks much more impressive, but the 2D Marios continue to come across as comfort food gaming fun.

I pre-ordered this on Amazon when it was $29.99. I am anticipating playing through the game and listening to some terrific music.

The good news it appears nintendo's lifting it's space limitations (40MB on the WII) for it's marketplace.  Trine 2 is 1.2-/1.3 GB so I'm expecting to see more support for WII U.

Not sure if Tank Tank Tank is going be an retail release or WII ware title?  Can't see myself fooking over $60 for it but if it's $15 than maybe that'll be a fun little shooter.

I think it would embarrassing if Tank! Tank! Tank! was a retail release for both Nintendo and Namco Bandai.

Online co-op is hard to pull off great and routinely sometimes on LittleBigPlanet on PS3, so some of you expected it to somehow work on the 3DS, a much lesser system?

Nintendo Gaming / What are your three favorite 3DS games and why?

1) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

It amazes me how a classic from 1998 is still a capable and highly competent game to this day. The improved framerate and visuals of the 3DS game makes the title seem like a new ride with a familiar friend. I love using the gyro to aim. Only problem I have with the game is the ghosting in some parts of the game.

2) Super Mario 3D Land

I loved how this Mario basically was a combination of the 2D Mario games and 3D Mario games. I enjoyed the pop-out 3D and the ingenious level design, customary of Mario titles. Just when I thought the game was over after the first eight worlds, the game opens up to add an additional eight special worlds.

3) Kid Icarus: Uprising

Some have trouble with the controls, but I quickly adapted to them. (Of course, I used a bigger stylus for comfort reasons.) The game is packed with hilarious dialogue, awesome action, and loads of unlockable content. The game is also one of the more graphically intensive titles on the 3DS.

What are your top three games?

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Nintendo's Message to the Fans This E3
« on: June 09, 2012, 03:14:48 PM »
I just believe the significance of E3 has been greatly reduced. A lot of companies didn't even bother showing up this year, and I wouldn't be surprised to see more remove themselves from E3 next year. Why bother when you can create your own event on your own time and dime and not have to compete with 100s of other games from competitors for time and mind share?

The days of E3 being Christmas for gamers are pretty much over.

I was down on the Wii U at first, but seeing impressions of such games like Pikmin 3, New Super Mario Bros. U, Rayman Legends, Project P-100, and Nintendo Land made me interested.

This is nice news. But there's plenty of VC games still in purgatory that I would like to come out. I am a patient person, and it's good seeing a steady stream of VC titles coming out these past several weeks.

Regardless, I'm still waiting for Kid Icarus 2 and Wario Land. heh

When is the demo coming to the US?

Oh crud. Is it not available here yet?  I just assumed based on what others said ....  now I've made an ass out of wii U and me.

Hi, NinSage! It's SuperPhillip!
The Heroes of Ruin demo, I believe, is only available for PAL people. It might just be Europe. I would love to be  corrected if I'm wrong, however.

Yes, I have two on my top screen, but it really isn't noticeable. I sometimes mistake them for something I can wipe off, but to no avail.
