Nintendo Gaming / Pokemon Alpha Sapphire trade request
« on: June 20, 2017, 11:19:40 AM »
Hello All

Would anyone be willing to trade with me in Alpha Sapphire? I'm trying to complete the the Pokedex and I'm only missing Mudkip (and the evolutions of Mudkip). I have other starters that I could trade for it. Would anyone be interested? Feel free to reply here or PM me! It would be much appreciated.

General Gaming / TechStuff Podcast: The Story of Nintendo
« on: April 08, 2016, 11:18:58 AM »
I thought some of you might be interested in this.  The TechStuff Podcast's last 2 episodes have been focused on Nintendo.  They do not cover unfamiliar territory (for those of you that frequent this site, these forums, and listen to NWR podcasts), but it's still cool.

P.S. - Does anyone know why every post I make has "null null null null" at the end of it (see below)?  I'm sure it's a stupid question, but I can't figure it out.

I wanted to give everyone a heads-up about this really cool exhibit at the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, NY.  I think a lot of you would love to check this out.  Rochester is about a 5 hour drive Northwest of NYC, or about a 1.5 hour drive East of Niagara Falls.  Anyways, this exhibit has been up for a couple months now and I brought my kids a couple weekends ago (we have a membership to this museum) and it was awesome.  This museum already pays a lot of attention/respect towards gaming, but this specific exhibit is only open through April 24th.

The Strong National Museum of Play is also home to the International Center for the History of Electronic Games and the World Video Game Hall of Fame.  If you miss arcades, this is an awesome place to go.  They have a lot of old arcade cabinets and pinball machines.  And BONUS - you get 5 tokens for a dollar.  Sweet deal.

Come check it out!

Has anyone seen these before?  I thought they were interesting.

So, I'm sure most of you saw the promotion going on this weekend.  Looks like a great way to earn a few additional coins.  This leads me to a question.

Here's my scenario.  I currently have 500 Wii Points left over for the Wii Virtual Console (which I can access via Wii Mode on my Wii U).  Anyways, I realize this promotion is only for virtual console games on Wii U.  So, if I use my 500 Wii points to purchase Mega Man in Wii Mode, then upgrade it for Wii U through the Wii U eShop, do you think this purchase will qualify for the current promotion?

Nintendo Gaming / "Controller Pro U" by InterWorks Unlimited, Inc
« on: March 11, 2013, 03:23:03 PM »
So, I never bought a Classic Controller or Classic Controller Pro for my Wii.  I used a Wavebird to play Gamecube games.  Now, I know you can't use a Wavebird on WiiU.  I also know that the new WiiU Pro Controller won't work for Wii Virtual Console or WiiWare games.

Does anyone know of a good controller that will work for Wii Virtual Console, WiiWare, and WiiU?  I saw the "Controller Pro U" on Amazon.  The reviews on Amazon are not dazzling, but I wanted to see if anyone on the forums has tried it, and what their impressions are.  I'd love it if I only had to buy 1 controller.  Thanks!

Nintendo Gaming / WiiU Settings Questions
« on: January 04, 2013, 02:36:29 PM »
Hello Everyone.  I just got my WiiU and have been messing around with the settings.  There's a couple things I was hoping to change and thought I might as well ask this fine crowd before spending hours digging around.  Thanks ahead of time!

1. Is there a way to make the "Wii style" menu the default Home screen on the TV.  From what I can tell, it forces the Plaza on the TV and the "Wii style" menu on the gamepad.  I'd like that reversed.

2. Is it possible to remove some of the floating icons in the Plaza?  For example, one of my current floating icons is the Settings button.  Kinda stupid.  I'm sure they represent the most used apps, but I was hoping it could be customized.

3. The edges of the display are going off of my TV screen when I'm on either Home screen (Wii-style or Plaza).  Can I adjust this?  There are not options in the general settings to finely adjust the width and height of the display.  Has this happened to anyone else?  I find it bizarre.

General Chat / My 480p TV and the WiiU
« on: December 02, 2012, 04:21:56 PM »
Quick question for those knowledgeable on the subject.

My current TV's highest resolution is 480p.  I still do not have a WiiU, but am planning on buying one.  Will the WiiU games only look like very nice looking Wii games because of my 480p limitation?  Thanks!

Nintendo Gaming / What is the "Fantasy Draft" in Madden 12?
« on: October 03, 2012, 11:52:15 AM »
Hello All.  I need some help.  I'm in my 3rd season Franchise Mode in Madden 12.  One of the unlocks refers to completing a Fantasy Draft.  What is that?  Is it different from the regular draft you do in the offseason?  I've done that 2 times already, so I assume it's not the same thing.  Can someone help me out?
