TalkBack / Re: Mario Maker Pushed to Later in 2015
« on: February 02, 2015, 10:30:40 AM »
Wooly World might release in April, since there are no major Wii U games planned for that month.

27
No they weren't. If they were then Nintendo would have removed their trailers from Youtube.

28
Both Mario Maker and Yoshi's Wooly World were absent from the latest Nintendo Direct. Does that mean they've been pushed back to the second half of the year? Or will Nintendo announce their release dates within the next couple of months?

29
No Mario Maker release date, the one game I wanted to see at the Direct. Does this mean the game was pushed past its "early 2015" release schedule?

TalkBack / Re: Our 2015 Nintendo Predictions

You guys really need to stop the "Nintendo is doomed" crap. I've heard the same stupid complaints for the past 20 years, since the N64 was released.

And FYI, we should all be worried about the future of Sony, a company that hasn't been profitable for over 6 years.

As for Nintendo's 2015 lineup, I'm still waiting for that Mario Maker release date. I know I can easily play all the PC hacks, but those aren't the same as an official level editor made by Nintendo. Nintendo should have announced the release date during their Nintendo Direct, but I guess they're saving it for a surprise announcement in the next few months.

Do this with Virtual Console games also. It's a no-brainer.

I was really hoping to see Mario Maker's release date announced, but they spent too much time talking about Amiibos support (again). Sadly I think the game will be releasing in April or later.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Nintendo figurines (not Amiibo)

I found some Figma figures of Link and Samus on Amazon for $40 each (Prime shipping included), but they're a bit too expensive for my budget. I ordered the SH Figuarts Mario figure for $19 directly from Amazon (Prime shipping included). I may check Target later to find some of the Jakks Pacific figures. That Donkey Kong looks hideous though, his head is way too big.

I want to start a collection of posable Nintendo figurines. I've seen figurines from Jakks Pacific ("World of Nintendo" line), SH Figuarts (Mario), and Figma (Link, Samus). Which brand would you recommend?

So how about a release date? Do you expect the game to be released before E3? I'm guessing between February and April.

Nintendo Gaming / Noticed something about the level slider
« on: December 21, 2014, 03:13:27 PM »

The level slider is the same length in the new version and the E3 version, and the levels in the E3 demo were very short. I'm guessing we won't be able to make full length levels with this editor.

Easy level sharing, you mean like the Mario vs DK games or Pushmo World?

Why, you can just make your own Kaizo Mario levels in Mario Maker. They'll require actual skill to beat instead of cheating with slowdown tools and save states.

What stuff do you want to see added to Mario Maker? I'm hoping we can make boss fights and use warp pipes to connect different sections of a level. Making entire worlds would be nice also, but I doubt it'll go that far. Playing as Luigi instead of Mario would be great.

When do you expect the game will be released? I'm hoping it's released early next year, between February and April.

Uh the press rease for today's eShop downloads confirms it's coming to America too on Christmas day.

if you have a spare USB phone charger plug one end of that to it and see if that powers your USB drive.

The hard drive uses a proprietary port.

It's a portable hard drive that's powered by the USB ports (hence the need for a Y-cable). I found out the problem, I just had to disable the hard drive's sleep mode and now it works perfectly.

My external hard drive isn't working properly. It sometimes disconnects randomly, even while using a Y-cable (I tried the front and rear USB ports). I was able to copy all of my game data to it, but when I tried copying the game data from the hard drive back to my Wii U I received this message:

"An error occurred while moving the game data. Some content couldn't be transferred."

So now some of my game data is stuck on the hard drive.

Nintendo recently confirmed that Kirby's Rainbow Curse, Yoshi's Wooly World, and Splatoon are all coming early 2015, but they never mentioned Mario Maker. Is that game still on track for an early 2015 release?

48
Listening to the game's soundtrack while in sleep mode (3DS closed) is something no other 3DS games do. That is what's impressive.

You guys could have gotten the game today if you bought it at certain Japanese shops. I've seen people streaming the full game on Twitch already.
