Three characters confirmed:

Also, some stickers can only be placed on certain characters. Stickers whose range of usage is limited in this fashion are proportionally stronger when placed appropriately.

There you have it: Lucario is in and JP and Ness are back.

Yeah, I posted about it in the Brawl updates thread, too. What's interesting is that the Animal Crossing sticker on the Dojo has something written in that area, but we can only see what looks to be the left half of a "U."

Also what's that red thing next to Pikachu? The Pokemon trainer possibly.

Wow...The person who figured this out had a really good eye!

The funny thing? I think the latest trailer was altered after Sakurai updated about the stickers also being power ups.

In the first version, it has the same footage except that the squares are blank. But in this new version the info about the power up and the character it works on is present.

So if no one figured out till now was because it was kept a secret till now.

So, does this mean clones are back in? I was under the impression that Brawl wasn't going to include any at all. Unless Ness' moves have been completely retooled. Which, if that's the case, then Ness will probably play more like his actual character in his actual game.

And it does. The symbol by Katrina, in the Japanese section of the Dojo, looks to be the same one. That means Sakurai is blocking a character from our view in that screenshot.

I agree absolutely. What I'm saying is that Katrina can only be used by a specific character set, and likely a magic-based one, at that. The issue is that the only magic users that used magic and not PSI or Psynergy, or something like that by Nintendo is Zelda or Ganondorf. Basically, Sakurai is hiding some magic user from us, and I want to figure out who, since Zelda has no reason to be hidden.

I would think it's either Zelda, Ganondorf, or a new character such as Isaac or Micaiah - though, I'm leaning more towards Isaac for that one.

I didn't spot this initially: it was someone else.

However, I did realize this: this might not be Ness. It could be Ninten:

Ninten was the "Marth" of the Mother series, so his inclusion could make a LOT more sense...

That's Ness. Ninten's face is less detailed and chubbier. No, I'm not kidding.

Besides, that picture is far too small to discern which it is, and the resolution is too small as well.

Well, Ness has rosier cheeks, you can see his hair under his hat, he's taller, has a circular head, and is thinner. Ninten doesn't have red on his cheeks at all, he's got a wider face than a circle, you can't see his hair well from his hat, if at all, and he's explicitly less fit than Ness. While you may think they may be almost the same, there are several differences with look. That is Ness, there's no one else it would be. It's not Ninten. Have you seen the clay figures of the two?

The weirdest thing is those areas look blank to me even on the Wii site... unless I pause the video- then the symbols appear. WTF?

Great find. I think we all assumed Jiggly would be back, considering the interview, but I was really worried about Ness and it's also great to see Lucario.

However... now I'm really concerned about Mewtwo, as that seems to be a grouping of the Pokemon characters there. Maybe he wasn't unlocked on the version of the video? Maybe Lucario replaces him after all as so many had been guessing? Maybe those groupings don't cover everyone in their respective franchise? Maybe Mewtwo is an enemy in the Subspace Emissary (like Bowser) and therefore can't be equipped with stickers? Wait and see I guess.

I'm happy Ness is back, and since Lucas took most Of Ness's moves we will probably see a completely new movelist.
