NYKO(R) WIRELESS AIR FLO(TM) CONTROLLER FOR GAMECUBE(R) FREES PLAYERS FROM CORDS
LOS ANGELES - Nov. 30, 2004 - Nyko Technologies(R), a leading manufacturer of innovative peripherals for video and computer games, has begun shipping its Wireless Air Flo(TM) controller for Nintendo GameCube(R). The cable-free unit provides gamers with a consistent flow of fresh air through the controller handgrips and features a new variable-speed control for custom hand cooling.
The Wireless Air Flo controller for GameCube features lag-free gaming up to 50 feet from the dongle inserted into the console. Nyko's wireless technology for GameCube includes a multi-channel design to accommodate up to eight players without interference. Precision error correction eliminates interference from household appliances and other sources of RF interference.
Nyko's popular Sony Playstation(R)-style button configuration brings intuitive button placement to GameCube. The wireless controller includes an ultra responsive D-pad with a detachable joystick, which is ideal for arcade-style and fighting games. The automatic power save mode ensures long battery life, so gamers can enjoy up to 50 hours of wireless gameplay. The Wireless Air Flo for GameCube includes four AA batteries.
"For those who want the freedom to compete without cords, the Wireless Air Flo controller for GameCube makes the perfect playing partner," said Susan Corben, director of marketing, Nyko Technologies. "Now gamers can get in the zone playing Metroid Prime 2 Echoes and Paper Mario without the 'umbilical cord' feeling."
Nyko's Wireless Air Flo controller for GameCube, the second product in the Wireless Air Flo family to ship to retail stores, is priced at MSRP $24.99. The Wireless Air Flo for Playstation 2 shipped earlier this year. Upcoming controllers in the line include products designed for Xbox and PC.
