General Chat / Planet Gamecube E3 DVDs
« on: January 28, 2008, 04:04:04 PM »
Forgive me if this is spamming, but I thought I would throw it out in case anyone was interested. I'm moving this weekend and I was cleaning up and found the old Planet Gamecube E3 VHS/CD/DVDs from 2001-2002 when Gamecube was first released.  This includes:

E3 2001 VHS (2 tapes) + extra CD content
PGC Japan Experience 2001 (2 CDs, Space World/Shoshankai, plus Billy Berghammer runnning around Japan)
E3 2002 DVD (Shine Get!) E3 2003 (3 VCDs)

I'll sell all this for $25, shipped. Don't know if anybody would WANT to see this again, but thought maybe some site vets might want to get nostalgic.  Just trying to clean out some stuff and raise some quick cash.  If nobody gives me an offer by this weekend, these will be thrown away.   Thanks.

Oh yeah, email if you're interested pls:

TalkBack / RE: Metroid Prime Record Set

WOW.  I've always been interested in speeding through Metroid. It's quite fun.  I can do Super Metroid 100% in 1:23.  But my best Prime Time (heh) is still over 4 hours.  I'll probably be trying to improve that time until the next Metroid comes out

Also, it doesn't say whether this was with 100% items/scans or not.  If so, that would be even more impressive.

General Chat / The Sprite ad

Sprite = VERY GOOD
Tropical Sprite Remix = TEH SUCK

I tried a bottle last night and wasn't really crazy about it.  Tastes like Sprite mixed with strawberries or something.  I prefer the sweetness of original sprite.

YAY AVATARS!  Quick reply is cool too.

10 months?  Are you sure that isn't supposed to be 10 days??  10 months is an awful long time for a seminar.

Nintendo Gaming / DivX?

I read somewhere that Enter the Matrix will use it.

Nintendo Gaming / Tetrisphere
« on: February 17, 2003, 09:51:08 AM »
Yeah, Tetrisphere owns.  Awesome game.   However there won't be a sequel because a) THQ now owns the rights to Tetris, and b) I believe H2O closed up shop.

A definite rental, but an unlikely buy with F-Zero just around the corner and looking much better.  However, if it's any good I may buy it used sometime in the future.

There are a couple of movies of the PSX version on .IGN , but we REALLY need some NEW info on this game

General Chat / Super Metroid has taken over my life... again.

SUPER METROID FREAKING OWNS.   Quite possibly THE greatest game of all time.  I know I've played through it at least 30-40 times by now.   My best time is 1:23 with 100% items.   I haven't played it as much since Prime came out (a very worthy sequel).

Well, PGC WAS on the survey.   It would be interesting to see the results of that question...

new board has started off on a very positive note; for some reason the other boards are dismal.

That's because all the fanboys haven't found it yet.

The PGC guys need to try to get Dyack to post in here.  If he'll do it, of course; he hardly ever posts on IGNBoards anymore.

Agreeage.   I can definitely do without avatars, but SOME kind of graphical personalization would be nice.

That exactly what I was thinking too. We gotta get something like that in here and fast! And by the way, size can be sustained in EZboard, so why can't the signitures be made smaller for everyone here? I think that they moderators can set a code somehow that can limit the size of signiture pictures.

Yeah, the cool thing about avatars is that you can quickly tell who is posting what.  So if avatars are out of the question, perhaps you might reconsider the 'no sig pic' rule, and just have VERY STRICT filesize standards.

Another idea: Is there anyway users could have customized colors for their names?  Or at the very least, can you make usernames a larger font?   Just SOMETHING to make the poster name to stand out.

No avatars kind of sucks though, but I can live with it.
