Luigi's back to paranormal activity on the 3DS

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/26596

Nintendo announced a 3DS sequel to the acclaimed GameCube launch title, showing Luigi doing battle with more ghouls and spectres than ever before.
Luigi's Mansion 2 was stressed as being not a remake or a port, but an entirely new game.

Containing not one, but several new mansions to explore, this game looks to be both graphically impressive and chock-full of content.

The trailer showed several ghosts like the ones seen in the first game, haunted books, mummies and plenty of evil laughter.

Looked hilarious.

During the first game, I was so glad they included the "Mario" button. I couldn't stop laughing. "Mario?....MARIO!"

Immensely enjoyed the first one. I have to get a 3DS now. Actually I was just thinking of just getting one and hoping I have enough money.

Wait and see on Luigi's Mansion 2. The original on GameCube was light on variety in the tasks you had to perform. Hopefully, the sequel will improve in that regard - correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think I heard Reggie mention after the trailer that there were multiple mansions to explore and conquer in the game.

Yep. There was at least your standard one and a desert one shown in the demo reel. I think there was a number given 8 or something, but I haven't had sleep so I could be wrong.
