I called babbages around noon today and the manager said he knew that the street date had been broken by other stores but he was waiting for conformation from Nintendo that it was ok.  I called back at 3:30 and the guy on the phone said even though other stores are giving them out they arn't untill sunday.

I got a phone call from my EB about 6:30 this evening telling me I could come in a pick it up.  I was talking to the guy and they told me it was Babbages that orginally broke the street date so they went ahead and broke it as well.  Give your store a call again tonight or tomorrow morning, by then they may have decided to break the street date.  Hope everyone gets their fix soon, good luck!!!

I work at Best Buy, and we got them in this past tuesday (yesterday). The release date isn't until the 18th, but we're allowed to sell a game early if we get them, so try going to your local Best Buy and asking them if they have it, it's $15. I'm quite impressed with the master quest so far, I've just passed the Dodongo Cavern, and I was getting a little stumped already I'm dreading the remixed Water Temple...it's gonna be brutal.

Oh, and the bonus movies are pretty cool, too.
INCONCEIVABLE!!!

I feel I don't really need to post this anymore - but I did get it from my EB down here in the Tampa area of Florida - and I hadn't even preordered ahead of time.  I just walked in and plunked down my 15 bucks and walked out with the bonus disc.  My buddy up in Maryland said his EB won't give it to him though - and he has been calling them all day.  It's entirely up to the stores now I guess...

Good luck.

Gamestop in Green Bay is letting them go.  I just reserved Windwalker today, I'm not even sure if I want to follow through and purchace it.  I was stoked to get an N64 game I had only rented 4 years ago.  The fact that it was on Gamecube for only $15 only made it better.  Hopefully I like OOT as much as everybody else seems to, and that will inspire me to get windwalker.  This is the smartest marketing ploy Nintendo has ever come up with...

I got my copy Monday by quite suprise.  It wasn't scheduled to be delivered until today.  I have finished the first 3 dungeon in Master Quest version but I haven't done anything since last night.  I rather liked the the cow switches!

Wouldn't it be great if Nintendo used their N64 emulator to re-release some of the classics like Goldeneye, Mario Kart 64, Zelda MoM, and, the greatest game no one ever played, Conker's Bad Fur Day? Probably wishful thinking on the Rare games, but I'd easily pay $15 to $20 to have some of those again.

That's a good idea Cam. Nintendo seems to be in a game porting mood (ie GBA ports galore) so why not that, which would be even better.

So, I went to EB today, got it. That easy. I was wondering if EB was holding out on me the other day I called, I guess it was as simple as them not getting it yet. The game is very nostalgic, nice. The only thing I'm not happy about is the load and save times, even just accessing the menu has a jittery pause that I don't recall in the N64 game . Oh well, this is getting me in the mood for some brand new Zelda .

I must be really lucky.  I got mine from my local EBX last Friday, the 7th!!! 0.o (Rick, if i remember correctly you are from the Seattle/Redmond area, so you probably know this store in the Redmond Town Center) It took some coersing but a friend and I finally managed to get our discs.

Anyways, this is my first post here at PGC even though I have been patrolling these boards since they came into existence.  I just thought it was time to register and start posting.

By the way, Master Quest is great!

Oh my God.

Lesson in reality:  When someone is going to buy a product from the store you work at DON'T BASH THEIR BUYING DECISIONS!!  When I go to the grocery store and buy Coke the clerk doesn't say "why don't you buy Pepsi instead?"

I almost got clobbered by my sister's best friend. We both had to put more money down on our reserves and went in the same day at different times. We both had to put $5 down. The only difference the new manager was there when she was there and she didn't get the bonus. Because "we can't give that out until tomorrow." I went around close she was gone and a few college age employees were maning the store. They handed it right to me.
Stupidity is lost on my. Then again I'm almost always lost.
