TalkBack / Re: Wii U Has 8 GB of Internal Storage
« on: June 14, 2012, 09:10:03 PM »
I'll save my Wii U games on USB-SSD or 32 GB SD Card.
When I copy all my Wii stuff over to Wii U there will be 6-7 GB left. If you consider a Wii U game as big as a DVD game or a Steam download game:
Diablo III is close to 8 GB
Crysis is close to 8 GB
Renegade Ops is close to 3 GB
From Dust is close to 2 GB
Legend of Grimrock is 0.8 GB
Hard Reset is around 2,2 GB
...
There is space for 10-40 games on a 32 GB SD Card - 30 bucks today.

Miiverse is the best idea!
This will lead to a true friendly community, where you can see everyday, what you friends are playing.
Fights for records are much easier and even single-player games will benefit from Miiverse, that a real win for us. Albeit Nintendo should support online multiplayer the same way, as offline MP.

As said, multi-touch was invented for devices without buttons!
Wii U Gamepad offers everything, from touch screen, two analog sticks, 4 shoulder buttons, 4 gaming buttons, onme digipad etc.. gyro, accelerometer, magnetic sensor...
Especially when it comes to stylus play, multi touch just doesn't work. Capacitive panels don't work with 100% accuracy. How much does a small Samsung Galaxy Note cost? A lot more than Wii U!

Pikmin is one of the 3-best series out there!
Super Mario - Metroid Prime - Pikmin
Nintendo aims on 60 fps, that's fantastic. Can't wait to play Pikmin 3 slick and smooth. I think I would probably use the Wii U Gamepad, because the 2nd Stick is useful in Pikmin.

TalkBack / Re: First-Party Wii U Games Running at 720p Natively
« on: June 09, 2012, 01:01:32 PM »
60 fps is more important than 1080p !!!
I'm fine with Pikmin 3, it looks really good and it offers smooth 60 fps. 1080p doesn't make a big difference to 720p, BUT it causes a huge impact on performance. 720p looks really crisp compared to 480p. like the old Wii did.
Nintendo should force DEVs to run all games at 60 fps at least in 720p. If someone decides to go for 1080p, it should be an option to select 720p and 60 fps instead of being forced to use struggling 30 fps at 1080p.
