Nintendo Gaming / Re: poll: How many Wii U ports have you double dipped on?
« on: February 07, 2021, 12:35:51 AM »
I have purchased these:

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Pikmin 3 Deluxe
Captain Toad
LEGO City Undercover
Minecraft
Hyrule Warriors
DKC: Tropical Freeze
Rayman Legends (for the third time...ha)
New Super Mario Bros. U DX
Pokken Tournament DX (forgot this one)

Pretty much everything Nintendo-published save for Tokyo Mirage Sessions, which I will probably get, too.

Oh, those aren't dumb questions at all!

I'm using custom sprites I made for the heroes (but not things like that boulder--save for my boulder edit for when the boulder is submerged in water), custom monster designs, my own music I composed, dialogue is all mine, but things like tilesets are either from other creators who allow their work to be used in others' games or the already made tilesets that come with RPG Maker MV.

And yeah, it's a great tool to get the basics of game creation, but also something that can be rather complicated depending on what one is trying to set out to do.  ;D

Wow! That looks mighty interesting, ThePerm!

I forgot about this thread, so thanks for bumping it and with a great screenshot, too!

I've been hard at work on my RPG Maker MV game, Legends of Adrigal. I made a new area, which is about 7-10 hours into the game.

Also, made an event in my game that serves as a waterfall puzzle of sorts.

I hope posting Twitter links is acceptable, as it's easier for me than uploading them to a different site completely (especially a video like the last tweet has).

Lets see if I can remember them in order.

Hmm... Doing this from memory, so in order of remembrance:

:o I am impressed with your memory. I have to check my gaming log just to remember the games I am currently playing!

Oh, I totally cheated by the end and started looking at my PS4 trophy list and then my Switch home menu. ha

General Chat / Re: The COVID-19 Virus is Coming For Us All Thread
« on: December 04, 2020, 04:08:23 PM »
Our household got hit with COVID last month. All of us had a bad cough, runny nose, chills, headache, all that bad stuff. My mom and brother both needed an inhaler to help them breathe better. Fortunately, we're all better now, but I'm still a bit irritated that my mom's boss gave it to us in the first place due to ineptness on his part because it could have turned out real bad for my mom especially with her health issues and age.

This world/game looks mighty fine, and the first worlds thus far are a great deal of fun with brilliant aesthetics. Some of the levels have some "gotcha" moments unintentionally, but I'm liking what I'm playing overall.

Lots of reruns of The Golden Girls, Roseanne, and MASH, but those are the old standbys.

Current stuff is The Conners and Mom. Wanting to binge some This Is Us, but I haven't yet had the opportunity to do so. Still on the fourth episode of the entire series.  :o

35
I've yet to play SNES games online. How fun!

It's a new day, so opening level theme, hmm? I remember holding up a tape recorder as a younger Phil and recording music to various video games to listen to them outside of my playing them. The quality was gosh-darn awful, but one of the games I really enjoyed its soundtrack back then was Mega Man X4. It of course still has an amazing soundtrack and the jump to the PlayStation and Saturn brought the quality up even higher when compared to the already brilliant SNES music.

This title screen music seems timely, plus I just think it's a great, energetic bop. It's the ARMS title theme song.

I don't know how to embed videos on the forums, though.

This is an inside job, isn't it?  :o

39
No, I've been playing normally. No hacking, no time traveling. I'd have gotten bored with game by now if I did any of that.

I guess my currently goal is just furniture hunting and tidying up my island even more, little by little. :)

40
I have all of my loans paid off from Nook, and I have a 5-star island. I'm playing daily still though (finding fossils, hitting rocks, shaking trees, chatting to all the islanders), but not trying to burn out from having no goals to shoot for currently.

Phil & Mop It Up have you made your own Super Mario Games with the Map feature?  I want to find some good content and most is either too hard, or too easy...or just doesn't feel like Mario.

Yep! It was one of the first things I did when the update was available. My maker ID is: 4XW-VB1-VXG

Yeah, it's unfortunate how this update was just dropped without most being able to be prepared. Though your levels were always a good time regardless, so I'll be sure to check out your world when I get the chance! :)

44
I have a Whirlpool Bath and a Royal Crown available for purchase at my island if anyone is interested in these to buy/let me catalog.

Hey all. Those level codes are now expired since I reuploaded all of my levels after doing some fixes and major improvements to make a better playing experience.

But my maker ID code still works, and it has all of my "game" in an actual World Maker game now, so check it out! :)

46
I bought it and have it still. It'll be Stratos's to keep, but you are free to catalog it this weekend beforehand for sure, if you'd like.

47
There's an approximately 110,000 Bell kitchen stove/sink in my newly opened Nook's shop. Would anyone like to come buy it and allow me to catalog it? You can keep it, of course, since I don't have a plan for a kitchen in my home.

I'm down!  You open now?

I can do so now. I'll PM you.

Yes, that is when you get the option to purchase water construction, cliff construction, and different path construction with Nook Miles.

50
Quite engaged with making my island my home away from home. Still a WIP but I'm liking how it's shaping up.
