Title: How long can Kashogi stay sober? 20 days.

IT'S BEEN 16 DAYS! WOOT!
As you may not know, I quit drinking for the sake of my liver and so I can start preparing myself for the future. I've gone 16 days before so this isn't that special, but I'm still proud of myself.
Two things I've noticed so far while sober:
1. Bars suck ass
2. Book stores kick ass

Hey, a little alcohol is actually GOOD for the body...The key is to know not to overdo it...
I'm generally too busy to drink, so I can go for whole months before just randomly breaking out the bourbon bottle...

Doesn't have to be red wine...Studies have shown that one drink a day (a beer, glass of wine, or shot of liquor) may be beneficial for the heart...
Red wine probably has just stood out in the past because of its antioxidants...

I don't drink at all. Tried it. Can't stand the smell, or taste of any alcohol beverage. Although if I were to drink I am always inclined to drink sake, and I have no clue as to why because I never had a taste of it.
Red wine probably has just stood out in the past because of its antioxidants...
Isn't it the same for chocolate?

Of course, you have to sort of balance that out with the fact that it's bloody fattening...Might as well just eat blueberries or drink tea if you need antioxidants that badly...

The alcohol gets absorbed quicker because of the sugar in the drink. I never said i don't or can't drink straight liqour, it's just easier to get drunk quicker with a mixed drink. Hell its cheaper for me to bring something mixed in a bottle with me on the way to a bar/club, drink it on the way to get buzzed, then have to only buy ONE drink when i'm there. Besides you get the same amount of alcohol if you ask for it alone or mixed.
Did i ever mention i'm a licensed bartender? jackasses

Actually.. during the licensing course we were told that men (of any sexual orientation) can make better tips at a gay bar, more than even women at non-gay bars

Pretty interesting, I'm sure.
I thought about it and I'm going to buy one along with a bottle of Hennessy and Hypnotic (about a bill total). I'm going to crack the bottle on my birthday and get drunk off the deliciously pure vodka. Later, I'm going to make the Green Hulk and pour it into the skull and wait for another justification to drink; which now that I think about it, will probably be Halloween (my favorite holiday).

So I drank a beer yesterday....
...But it was a step forward to keeping my sobriety. At first, I enjoyed it; it was both refreshing and tasty. However, as I drank more and more of it, I realized that I didn't want it anymore, let alone a second one. I literally had to force myself to finish it. After that, I drank pineapple juice.
It's official. I'm burnt out on alcohol.
I thought it would be hard to stop drinking, especially haven given in, but it was different. I moved past it. I even rethought my idea to purchase a crystal head.

Oh quitting smoking isn't hard. Seriously, it's not. I've quit on demand for 6 months and 3 or 2 months at a time quite often. It's tough that first day, but after that, you don't think about it anymore. Hell, I usually quit smoking the day after my birthday in order to get really really high on 4/20.
As much as I love the wacky tabacky, I could easily go a whole year not smoking.

I don't know about that. Sure I feel fine when I don't smoke, but when I do smoke I come up with my best ideas; hands down. Hell, the multi-million dollar proposal I wrote a couple years back was a direct result of getting high. We received the grant and now I make $20/hr as an undergrad. Furthermore, the music that I compose and the art that I paint are much better when I'm high. Why? Two reasons.
1. It gives me a different perspective. When I'm sober, I tend to focus on different things then when I'm blazed. Things that I thought were important are dropped into the background and less important things are brought to the forefront.
2. It enhances my natural abilities. I've always been good at taking one idea and combining it with another idea in order to make an even better idea. That's why I want my career to rely on that. When I'm high, I am more "open". Ideas that I once thought were small and insignificant come rushing back to me when analyzing another idea.
I've written 15 proposals thus far all inspired by my muse, my buddy, my ganja.
P.S. I don't smoke dirty ganja. No no no...I only smoke beautiful nuggets. The type that gets you high after a single it. This helps my lungs out!

Pap: Yes, yes I do. I'll be getting high shortly! As for your picture; that episode is ridiculous. But on a more serious note, my writings have helped propel me. And yes, I was high when I first thought about them and laid the preliminary work (I suck at writing when I'm high though). Like I said, there's a reason why I get paid $20/hr and weed is definitely part of that reason.
GP: Many people have liked the paintings I've painted and the music I've produced (including some on this forum). Some important people like my music so much that I've been allowed to work in a studio and produce an album (EC gets a free copy). Furthermore, I've been able to sell one of my paintings and one of my drawings for a total of a $150. Sure it's not much, but have you sold any art?

Make fun of? No, I'm genuinely concerned for your health...I personally don't feel any marginal "enhancement of your natural abilities" is worth ruining your body for, and I don't want you to regret your decisions in the future...

Stogi, I had to make the same choice as you along time ago. I chose the opposite. can't say it help inspire me to a whole lot of great ideas (not that I would remember), but it did lead to a whole lot of great moments (not that I would remember them all).

The only I will say on the matter is that Kashogi's old enough to know the consequences of his actions. If something arises from smoking its his problem, his conscience and his health.
My only concern is that just because Kashogi saw "success" with smoking weed it will be the same story for everyone else.

Actually two times in the span of a week and a half isn't that much, especially when I haven't gotten drunk in what, a year? So my liver only sorta hates me in that tsundere sorta way...I will make up for it with a good run tomorrow!

That would be fitting if I ever even HAD a hangover in my life, which I haven't...The last time I drank I had 16 oz. of 100 proof and was completely fine the next day, and I even had a bloody cold at the time...

So the streak is over. I drank last night. To commemorate the inauguration, my lady friend was having people over. It was suppose to be a gala or ball but I didn't pimp myself out; just the usual jeans/button-up combo.
I thought long and hard about whether I should drink or not. I caved. I thought since this is truly a special day that I should make a special circumstance. After smoking a blunt to the face, I decided to stop by the store and pick up a 6-pack of Grolsch. Once I got to the place I noticed all the girls were wearing gowns but all the dudes were wearing something similar to what I had on. Funny. I make my rounds, greeting everybody with hugs and kisses. The girls ask me what am I doing without a tux and bow-tie and I made some remark about how Obama's president and I don't have to listen to their **** anymore. After a few laughs I put the beers to cool outside and start popping bottles of champagne. After giving a toast, I break my promise.
The party went ahead as usual with me making fun of every girl in the place one by one. It was overall a pretty good party; lot's of dancing and funny conversations. It starts to get a little late, maybe around 1 or so and someone puts on Borat. I haven't seen that in years, so I'm laughing my ass off. To add to it, my friend tells me she's russian, but she was born in Khazakistan. I start laughing even harder. Anyway, the movie rolls on and I'm chilling on the couch drinking the last of my beers and I'm pretty drunk. I start to get close with this girl, letting her lay on my chest, and I ask her if she has a place for me to sleep and she says I can sleep in her bed. Tight. So I walk up to her room and get real comfortable expecting her to come in later for some sexy time. As soon as I jump on the bed.....
I pass out; almost immediately.
I wake up to my arm numb and my wifebeater off. She was laying on my shoulder in nothing but her panties. I immediately check if I have my boxer-briefs on. Sadly, I do. But I still smell Dr. Bambino just to see if something popped off........it didn't. Normally, I would have woke her up for some morning delight but I felt really nauseous and I had a horrible headache. Ugh...Where is my weed when I need it!
It's 8:30 and I have to be at work in an hour and a half, so I gather my things and head home. Once there, I run through my morning ritual and start to feel better...........what a shitty way to end a night.

Dude....It's not meant to be funny, It was SAD. Sure this has happened to me before (and you I'm sure), but It was a direct result of my choice to drink. Basically I chose drinking over sex and it really bummed me out. What a sad sad day.......

So the streak is over. I drank last night. To commemorate the inauguration, my lady friend was having people over. It was suppose to be a gala or ball but I didn't pimp myself out; just the usual jeans/button-up combo.
I thought long and hard about whether I should drink or not. I caved. I thought since this is truly a special day that I should make a special circumstance. Once I got to the place I noticed all the girls were wearing gowns but all the dudes were wearing something similar to what I had on. Funny. I make my rounds, greeting everybody with hugs and kisses. The girls ask me what am I doing without a tux and bow-tie and I made some remark about how Obama's president and I don't have to listen to their **** anymore. After a few laughs I put the beers to cool outside and start popping bottles of champagne. After giving a toast, I break my promise.
The party went ahead as usual with me making fun of every girl in the place one by one. It was overall a pretty good party; lot's of dancing and funny conversations. It starts to get a little late, maybe around 1 or so and someone puts on Borat. I haven't seen that in years, so I'm laughing my ass off. To add to it, my friend tells me she's russian, but she was born in Khazakistan. I start laughing even harder. Anyway, the movie rolls on and I'm chilling on the couch drinking the last of my beers and I'm pretty drunk. I start to get close with this girl, letting her lay on my chest, and I ask her if she has a place for me to sleep and she says I can sleep in her bed. Tight. So I walk up to her room and get real comfortable expecting her to come in later for some sexy time. As soon as I jump on the bed.....
I pass out; almost immediately.
I wake up to my arm numb and my wifebeater off. She was laying on my shoulder in nothing but her panties. I immediately check if I have my boxer-briefs on. Sadly, I do. But I still smell Dr. Bambino just to see if something popped off........it didn't. Normally, I would have woke her up for some morning delight but I felt really nauseous and I had a horrible headache. Ugh...Where is my weed when I need it!
It's 8:30 and I have to be at work in an hour and a half, so I gather my things and head home. Once there, I run through my morning ritual and start to feel better...........what a shitty way to end a night.

Can't hold your drink? The only one you can blame for that is yourself!
Well considering I had liquor, beer, wine, and champagne I wasn't surprised.

So I got it today (more liked got it delivered...hehe mind control). I won't bust it out till Halloween though. I've already drained the liquor into another bottle (a badass tequila bottle, but that's the only one I had). I then made the incredible hulk with a little more hulk.
Now I'm just looking at it. It's looking right back at me.
So tempted.
EDIT: For anyone that's curious. The vodka tastes gross as with any vodka that's not "Da" (900 dollar vodka). It does have a smooth finish though with just a hint of something sweet. I have no idea what it is because I hate (read: HATE) vodka. The girl that tasted it says it tasted like goose. Whatever.
