I hope they release some videos sometime in the near future, but maybe we will have to wait until TGS.

I haven't seen this type of art style before.I like it.

Looks like PS2ish browns and greys along with a hard "cel" shading like Suda 51 loves. I don't like it, especially since4 the attempt at fur shading looks completely out of place because of it.

I like it. I would just hope it would be in 16:9, and support progressive scan, but I doubt it will have both. I will take it as it is anyway.

Nintendo really should have made those things mandatory...

Looks neat to me. Hope it plays as well as it looks. The graphics aren't amazing but they're distinct and that's what makes up for it.

A little late, but I found them on the internet... :cool;

I found a nice collection of Kizuna music (http://www.sendspace.com/file/v6zgll) ripped from its website, and it's EXCELLENT STUFF! (Thanks to Stormbringer at GAF!)

You know I liked best about these screens so far? Self-shadowing.

You know I liked best about these screens so far? Self-shadowing.

I recall some otherwise graphically advanced game not having self shadowing because it looked like ass on organic shapes.

There's no self-shadowing on those screens.  Just dark cel-shades.

Maybe I'm using the wrong term, but the shadows are moving on the orcs' bodies from screen to screen.

That's shading or lighting :P

Super Mario Sunshine already had custom light falloffs before Wind Waker showed cel shading on the system, I think SMS could have looked celshaded with a different falloff curve.

The intro sounds exactly like Avatar: the last airbender (The song that's usually played at the end of the episode when everything starts to die down).

I have some bad news...Jaleco has left the game industry.
Here is the sad news (http://Http://gonintendo.com/?p=69809)

I'll just boost morale by stating that it's unlikely GameYarou bought Jaleco only to cancel the one game that they have in development, especially one with such potential as Kizuna...

I am relieved that this is still in development.

Nice, it lives! I was looking forward to this until I heard about Jaleco shutting down.

I'm a little confused how it's still alive, though. Is the company Jaleco sold all of their shares to, Game Yarou, publishing the title or something?

I'm not really sure why the game is still in development but I'm not complaining!

Good news, good news indeed.

They probably only lost their support and funding from Jaleco. The game itself was only relying on money from Jaleco so all that may need to happen (and may already have done so) is another publisher to step in. They could not have a publisher but are confident enough in the game that they are still working on it in hopes of a publisher agreeing to pick it up.

This looks like a job for...XSEED! Seeing as they are the hero underground-indie publisher of the hour.

Jaleco was always a small publisher worldwide, and it's impossible now for Jaleco to publish anything anymore since they are out of business Kizuna will be funded by Game Yarou, I have a feeling that Marvelous will pick up the rights to publish in Japan and have a copublishing in NA of Marevlous/XSEED (xseed is helping marvelous build a US presence afterall).

Ja(xseed is helping marvelous build a US presence afterall).

Is that why I've seen a growing number of projects they both have their names attached.

Weird commercial without game footage (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/46260.html).

Japanese teaser (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/46259.html).

I hope it's fun to play, and that it eventually has a North-American release.

A little bit of info about the status of Jaleco Limited and if the title will make it out of Japan (http://gonintendo.com/?p=76566)

- Jaleco Limited will operate normally under GameYarou’s full ownership
- no changes will be made
- the Jaleco brand name will be kept
- work on Kizuna continues towards a May 28th release in Japan

When Mr. Takakura was asked about Kizuna coming outside of Japan, his answer was “Unfortunately, I can’t tell you yet, but wait for it.”

Hmmm, does that mean he unfortunately can't tell us a date yet but it is coming or that unfortunately he doesn't has a US publisher yet? Curious.

Thanks for the update Maxi, it is appreciated :)
