I've found that when I pray to Reggie, my prayers are answered at about the same 50% ratio as they are when I pray to God. And there are some things Reggie can do that God could never do. For instance, I prayed to God for months to do something about my idiot neighbor and his barking dog, and nothing ever happened. Reggie straightened out that idiot with one visit. It's remarkable what one can do with a simple baseball bat.

Wait, Reggie is just another name for Joe Pesci?

Well, seeing as the first line is "Metal Slug 6 COMPLETES the seven-game set", and the part where it says that 6 was released in arcades earlier this year, it's probably a safe bet that this is the full collection of MS games.

Unless 7 is already being released in the arcades...

they'll probably just anchor the wiimote to the case with a lightweight (but strong) rope or cable. Along with two security guards armed with water balloons and tazers.

Exactly... it ends when Sony ends. Or at least, when the PS3 ends.

33
Well, the movie is over a year away, so you know they probably have to keep most of it under wraps. Still.... it's a real-life Megatron, and how can you go wrong with that?

Hmmm, talk about diggin up an old post. Teaser for the new movie. Look who it is!

I do agree, the star chasing is amazingly fun... and hilarious. I grabbed a Starman, and started chasing my buddy around (talking sh*t while doing this, mind you), and he stopped... I jumped at him, and he ducked just in time for me to go sailing over him before he took off. I had to pause the game, we were laughing so hard.

This has got to be a joke. No, I seriously mean that. Not as in "this is a joke cause it's funny." This HAS to be made up. If it isn't.... dear god.

And I am playing with the image in photoshop a bit.  I can't get much but I think it is an arrow sort of thing next to the "sync" text, not an h or n or any other letter.  There are two vertical parts, but they do not seem connected.

I think the reason they did this is so:

A) The bottom of the disc is too reflective, and might mess with the picture (especially if a flash is used)
B) They flipped the disc so you can see the label.... subconcious stuff goin on, there.

I highly doubt that's the actual way the disc goes in. Also, I remember seeing a video of Miyamoto taking a disc out of the system, so watching that video would probably be the best proof of this.

Two of my all-time favorite gaming achievements:

1) Beat Kung-Fu 40 times in a row without losing.

2) Played my Virtual Boy for a whole hour without having a stroke or siezure. Double vision only lasted about twenty minutes, too!

Chances are, retailers will sell the two systems already announced, and you'll need to fill an order at the sony site online in order to get a custom built one.

Thank god I'm not dumb enough to do either.

40
Surprisingly, I've never really read Sony's claims on any of their systems until recently... some of the things they say really make me want to punch myself in the head in order to get them out of there.

“In the 20 years I’ve worked in the gaming industry, I have never seen so many titles in the playable phase,” he said. “The world has obviously underestimated our progress in software development. It’s likely that many shook their heads in disbelief at seeing the large number of titles actually working before their eyes.”

Your progress, or the progress of third parties? Oh, and I don't know about you, Ken... but I think Nintendo having TWENTY SEVEN games working and playable kinda dwarfs your 10. Werd.

EDIT: What a nutjob.

Yeah, Kairon's right on this one. If you have a drum game that simulates a full drum kit, you're going to need that second controller to know where it's exact placement is, so it knows if it's hitting a snare, hi-hat, or crash cymbol.

Dont have much hope for this version unless Nintendo is the developer. I love Monoply and the NDS version would have been perfect if they actually got rid of the simple bugs. Simmilar bugs are also present on the PS2 version apparently.

Actually, judging from the quote talking about pewter pieces at the bottom, this appears to be the board game, and not a video game.

Actually, Ridley was grounded in Metroid: Prime. Also, people seem to forget the opening video for SSBM, which has a sized-down ridley fighting Samus. A bit of foreshadowing there?

Not saying Ridley would make a good character (or a character, period), but I think he could work.

Standard moves are easy to guess, so no point going into that. Special moves? Let's see:

B - Fireballs
Down + B - tail swipe (Tail spike if he's in the air, identical to his attack in Super Metroid, where he bounces along the ground... similar to Links down thrust).
Left/Right + B - Charge-swipe, taken from Metroid Prime.
Up + B - Not sure... enable flight mode (for a limited time), burst of fire upwards, like Samus's attack?

I was thinking that about the VC a long time ago. Instead of all games being saved to your system, it will keep a library saved online, and you just download the game when you want to play. For NES and SNES games, that probably would be very useful.

I would think if SquareEnix had a character, it would be Mog or Chrono. Those may be the best fit (and my favorite from Square). Capcom, I would agree with Mega Man (X). I don't think Belmont or Alucard/Soma would be in the game, since Konami already has one character confirmed. But then again, there's always hidden characters... as far as we know, there could be two characters per third-party (so maybe 3 third-party companies, for a total of 3 starting and 3 hidden characters).

It might be used to pick up and sling objects (heavier ones as you upgrade). Wouldn't it be rad to drop a 2 ton steel crate on top of a Space Pirate? Gimme some of THAT.

Other wacky idea due to it being an hour past my bedtime: Taking a cue from the Ridley fight, what if you latched on to a central point in the ceiling of a cylinder-shaped room (like a silo), while you run along the wall as you're attacking/dodging a boss?

What other ideas could we come up with for the grapple beam?
