Day 8: PONG Mafia XXXVIII
« on: October 22, 2009, 12:35:41 PM »
Just kidding, there is no day 8.  Townies win!

I'll do the writeup a little bit later, but for now here's the remaining players and roles.

UncleBob "Doc" Yellow Paddle
Decoyman  - Townie
vudu - "Beloved" Orange Paddle
Kashogi Y. Stogi - Townie
Stratos - Townie

Congrats to the townie on their win.  I knew that GP's communication with thatguy would win the game for the townies, and that's exactly what happened.  Good finish.  I'll throw up the poll for MVP here in a minute.

Stevey if you didn't play like so erratic we wouldn't have thought you were mafia.  I am truly sorry we voted you out.

That said, I'm really glad it was you and not UncleBob, who was the other person we thought was mafia on day 5 (UB didn't contact me until day 6).  ;)

Yay, we did it! Well, mostly vudu and UB.

I was pretty sure UB was the orange paddle, though. Anyways, good game, guys! :D

P.S. - Told you guys I wasn't mafia.

Hey I was right about Uncle Bob!
Thought that Stogi or Decoyman was the Orange Paddle.

Vudu I think you owe me.
Maxi is dead. I killed him and took his posts and changed genders.

You mean day 3?  You were already dead by that point.  I'm not sure how you helped.

Looking back on that day 3 stevey was the first to vote for you. Had you been voted out it would of been a good swing in favor of the Mafia. You and stevey gone.Thatguy would still be alive so it would have been pretty close. If you were voted out on Day 3 and you would of not gotten GP's message on Day 4 therefore not being able to find out about Nuclear Speed. This game could of changed drastically if you were voted out.

I'm still bitter that I could be ID'ed by the investigator and die on the same day.  Bitter!

For killing Pale and allowing Stratos to decide who to pressure, to boot!  I always like to kill Pale, and Stratos was leaving!  He changed his vote before I even said Maxi and I would follow!

He's manipulating us all, he's secret mafia, I tell you!

GP's MVP.

I'll just say this, vudu and GP got my MVP votes. :thumbsup; UncleBob is a close third.

Speaking of, something I'm going to add for my game will be, in the event of a townie win, holding a vote to let one dead townie share in the win. Say one of the townies was instrumental in the victory, but was offed by the mafia (ahem, GP), the vote would allow that player some of the glory, and even allow people in general during the game to play a little riskier. I think it might be an interesting addition to the game.

As for me, I lived through as a plain townie for the first time ever (I think), but only by acting like I could either BE mafia or by acting oblivious enough that I could be MANIPULATED by the mafia. I confided only in a select few via PM so they could avoid voting me out accidentally. Normally I like to be more involved, but was pretty busy this time. I figured this would be my best bet at survival, and it worked, well, thanks to our very active townie alliance! :D Good game, everybody!

How was I supposed to know what GP said was true? There wasn't much to her post that anyone couldn't have written and no one was really discussing it with me via PM.  It was pure dumb luck that I had voted to save vudu. I would have tried to save Mop it up, but vudu and I had a plan that ended up not going through (don't think it would have helped much, since I don't think NS was on vudu's list of people to send that message to...)

It was fun though.

I still don't see how he owes you. You died before day 3 started and you didn't mention any action you did that would cause Vudu to owe you.

While Vudu is the one who found the final mafia member, that was brought about due to Unclebob's timely save. If Vudu died that night, so did his clue. Therefore, I Vote Unclebob.

This.  I had no idea you were investigated until day 5 when GP sent me a PM.

You're not the only one.

While, in hindsight, I feel bad about letting GP die (again, at the time, I had no reason to trust what she said was true!), I honestly felt bad about your death that day.  I explained in the voting thread what fell through there. :(
