Topic: Nintendo Holding Another Nintendo Direct Event After Christmas

The next Nintendo Direct broadcast is arriving in just a few short days.

The event will take place in Japan on December 27 at noon. For Americans, this translates to December 26 at 10:00pm EST. The broadcast will deliver information regarding the Wii and 3DS.

The last Nintendo Direct broadcast held took place in October. This event revealed new 3DS games, and details on the recently released 3DS firmware update. Hopefully we can look forward to many more announcements.

My 3ds seems to be getting spots or some kind of scratches on either side of the top screen. I think that's from opening and closing the 3ds so much. Doesn't show up on games, but it has been getting a little worse...

Not to get anyones hopes up, but there have been 2 rumors about the post Xmas/pre New Year event from Nintendo.

The first was related to the 3DS crossing the 4million mark in Japan and when it reached that milestone, Nintendo has a special game announcement to make (I would assume for the 3DS).

The other was that new info would be released about the Wii U, but I'm sure Nintendo would save that for CES if they had something they wanted to share at this time.

But last month (I think), Reggie did say that there were more games to announce for the Wii, and that we would know more before the year was over or something like that. So this conference isn't unexpected.

If all of their development resources are tied up with the Wii U and 3DS then I am curious to see what they have left for the Wii that we have not already seen up to this point. Perhaps another Wii Sports title?

There was also the rumor of a popular RPG series bringing its 7th version to 3DS and DQ7 is the most obvious choice.

FF7 seemed to be the most wanted choice though

So i'm hoping for a redesign announcement, cause my A button is getting squished down
by Mario Kart 7. but i dont think they will announce that til spring, like the beginning
of the new financial calander yr.
Its probably to brag on sales and say look, Xenoblade is coming but outta tokyo
 or Japan in general, its probably corporate wide subject. (with Japan bias)

No way Nintendo will even mention a redesign. I'm thinking it will be announced and released in 2013 allot of new customers will be VERY angry if they do another one this quickly. They will have a 3DS bundled with circle pad pro BEFORE a re-design happens.
