Xbox is tight, Yo
« on: October 21, 2003, 11:48:15 AM »
Here's one: Puff 'P Diddy' Combs is now a celebrity spokesmen for Xbox.  Read this statement, and you'll swear they're talking about the savior:

Quote

P.Diddy was the perfect fit as our first celebrity voice because he embodies the same spirit as xbox". said xbox's director of brand marketing. Don Hall. 'He's multi faceted, has made a significant social impact, and pulls millions of people together in a positive way with his powerhouse talents"

LoL.  Now Nintendo should go out and get the real talent, The Beastie Boys.  They've said they liked Nintendo before, go get them.

Uh oh, I'm going to have to go get an Xbox now that P. Diddy is sponsoring it.

Actually, he should sponsor Gamecube, and they could dress him up in a Diddy Kony outfit

This actually causes me to dislike Xbox.  I was kind of indifferent before, taking only occasional shots , but now, blec!

I'm still waiting for my Banjo title...

I have Halo and DOA3, but DOA3 isn't nearly as good as Soul Calibur II, and Halo just plain got lame about half-way through...And everything else is either crap or sports games...Thankfully I didn't have to pay for my Xbox, because it just wouldn't have been worth it for a platform/RPG lover like me...

I see.  I am still excited about it.  I will probably order MGS2: Substance (I don't have a PS2 or comp that can handle it.) and Jet Set Radio Future... I hear that's good.  And MGS 2 for ps2 is awesome.  Forget the story, it's just a bunch of Japanese nonsense, but the gameplay really is awesome.  And... yeah.  Remember, the only really worthwhile GC titles are first party, and we're not seeing too many of those really.  I am expanding my horizons.

well anyway, the other day i was playing Viewtiful Joe then i thought hmmm this game IS good, but i feel like something different.. perhaps Ikaruga? then i went nah, i need something a little less hectic, so i went with Skies of Arcadia then after that i went out and pre-ordered Billy Hatcher after that some friends of mine from here were telling me all about   the upcoming Resident Evil 4 and i said nah, considering i didn't play REmake or Resident Evil 0 i decided not to get it.

In terms of past generations of games, I can actually say that I have more third party games than first party and second party games combined. I counted only six games out of the sixteen GC games that I have that were made by a Nintendo or Nintendo-owned developer.

I'm shocked. I feel so weak as a fanboy that it's not funny.
