Topic: Mario Party 4 or Super Monkey Ball 2???

hey, i'm trying to choose between the games mario party 4 or super monkey ball 2.  none of my my friends have either of them, but i hired out mp:4 on the weekend and was quite impressed. at the shop i had a 10-minute go on smb:2, and thought it was average, but i havn't played long enough to make a final judgement. mp4 costs more than smb2 but i have enough money for it. what do you think (any other good names of multiplayer games would be good,too)?

I'd go with Monkey Ball. I'm not a fan of games like that but Monkey Ball was fun. I also do not like any of the Mario Party games, but thats just me.

I have both.  

Mario Party 4 is really only worth it if do a lot of 4 player games.   Otherwise, it's just plain boring... computer competition is just not fun at all.  The mini-games are just great though, especially the 2v2 for me.  

Super Monkey Ball 2 I find to be much more fun if you have LESS than 4 players.  But the games I dunno... theres really not much of a variety or the randomness involved.   It's not setup as a party game very well as you pretty much have to choose which mini-game you want to play always and exit completely to play a different mini-game.  

I still give the edge to Mario Party 4 though.   I really HATE having to unlock essentially half of the entire Monkey Ball 2 games (and believe me it takes a LONG time because some of the levels are just plain out absurd).   It's even worse because single player is incredibly boring... theres only so much rolling you can do... but you stil lmust play if you want to unlock.

Actually, you can get both Super Monkey Ball 1+2($20+$30) for the price of Mario Party 4($50).  I'd go with SMB all the way!

I own Mario Party 4 and I think it is pretty boring to play( i play it a lot with my friends and I still think it is boring) I think that Super Monkey Ball 2 is a lot better because of its minigames.

smb 2 for sure, great game, but also, ive never been a big fan of Mario party, unless you have a lot of people, also SMB2 will probalyy have more single player fun and multiplayer fun the mario party

Never played Super Monkey Ball 2, but go ahead and buy it anyway over Mario Party 4.  Mario Party 4 already has enough sales.

I'd go with Super Monkey Ball 2. It looks like Mario Party 4 will be a player's choice title this fall and you can pick it up then for $30.

If you're in Australia, and thinking about SMB2 or MP4, get the party pack, which as a controller, MP4, and 6 months subscription to Aussie CUBE magazine for the unbelievably low price of $29.95. That's less than a bloody controller normally!
I'm serious!
Get that, then sell MP4 for a decent price.

I'd go with SMB2. Mario Party 5 is coming out eventually. Plus, SMB is one of the best multiplayer gaems ever!
