I wear my glasses when I'm not sleeping.  I feel like there slipping off my nose when I'm not wearing them and contacts are to much of a hassle.  Plus the world is not ready for that pure sexiness   Wear 3D glasses over them. 

One day I'll probably get laser eye surgery so I don't need glasses for at least a little while.

I wear glasses, so movie 3D is flat out for me. I was going to break the streak for Dark Knight Returns, but not if I'm going to get bent in half and stuffed through a mailbox (@igndotcom) for the privilege.

That's fucking stupid. Not what you said, the theatres. If 3D sales aren't doing it for you, CUT THE 3D! Don't force 2D movies to subsidize 3D costs. That only hurts people who want to see 2D movies. Price sensitivity exists in that market these days.

2D movies have been going up anyways. 10 years ago I could see a movie Sat nights for about $5.50, now it's $10 (even worse in big metropolitan cities like NYC and LA).

We use to have a dollar theater. It played two movies that came out a month before. It was awesome until it went bankrupt.

EDIT: I'm also extremely excited for The Hobbit. I've loved most of Peter Jackson's movies (Lord of the Rings Trilogy, his King Kong remake). I have my expectations sky-high for his Hobbit film. He is a master storyteller, and a good argument for the "movies are art" debate.

I rather liked The Frighteners a lot more than LOTR. It has a lot of heart, something I definitely can't say for King Kong and lacking in LOTR. LOTR felt rather impersonal. Althought it all this might be the whole "LOTR was made here" blowback talking. The media couldn't stop name dropping that for YEARS. Looking forward to a couple more years of this...

Mind you I haven't gotten to the whole debacle where our PM gave a movie studio a legal blow job when he hand waved away a chunk of our employment laws over one movie.

James Bond sells out his Martini for "Heineken".

I understood why they swapped out the PP7 for a P99 years ago, he had to update his weaponry at some point. But never would I consider him a beer drinking man. James Bond isn't an everyman, he is an idealised fantasy. The rough edges did give him a little bit more character, but in the end he is someone you want to be, not someone you already are.

Man, this is going to be like Die another day all over again.
