Do you guys remember that show The Munsters?

Do you guys also remember that director Brian Singer who did Xmen 1 & 2

Well he decided to bring the Munster back and is working on a Pilot for the show.
I'm very curious to see if that ever sees broadcast.

p.s. Brian Fuller (Pushing Daisies) is also involved

Quote
From writer-executive producer Bryan Fuller ("Pushing Daisies," "Heroes"), THE MUNSTERS is an imaginative reinvention of "The Munsters" as a visually spectacular one-hour drama from Universal Television. Bryan Singer ("X-Men: First Class," "House") is the director of the pilot and an executive producer; John Wirth ("Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles") also is an executive producer.

I heard rumors the munsters were cannibals, if they can have a Dead Like Me feel that would be interesting.

IRON SKY

Quote
Iron Sky is one of a new wave of productions, including Artemis Eternal, The Cosmonaut, A Swarm of Angels and RiP!: A Remix Manifesto, produced in collaboration with an on-line community of film enthusiasts, that are creating a new kind of participatory cinema. At Wreck-a-Movie, a collaborative film-making web site, the producers have invited everyone interested in "chipping in" with their ideas and creativity to read the tasks given to the community and to take a shot (write an entry).

Oh yeah... and Laibach is supposed to be doing the soundtrack! ;)

Back to I really don't want to see yet another Spider-Man Origin story and from that trailer this one doesn't look as good as any of the Previous origin story outing.

I believe there was a trailer for Iron Sky somewhere in this thread before, glad it surfaced again. I had forgotten about it.

There might have been. It's been in development for several years and has seen the release of quite a few teasers and test trailers.

I saw the trailer for The Borrowers preceding The Muppets a few months back. It looks really good, though the name change doesn't seem to be for the best. I can only assume it was to avoid confusion with the late 90's live-action film.

I didn't care for Sam Raimi's execution of Spider-Man at all... and I'm a pretty big Raimi fan. I wasn't so much bothered by the nit-picky things, like natural web cartridges. It was mostly a reliance on bad CGI and subpar casting that killed it for me. Of course, by the time the third film came around, it had just gotten convoluted and bloated.

Is a Spider-Man reboot the solution? Hell no. You could continue onward without directly acknowledging the previous efforts if that's what you want. Let's not run through the entire boring origin again, though. I don't need to know James Bond's origin every time they switch actors... and I certainly don't need to know Spider/Super/Bat/Whomever-man's origins every few years. These characters are so ingrained into the public consciousness that it's ridiculous to think the story needs to be told over and over again... let alone be the focus of an entire film.

Never heard of it before, but apparently the studio expects it to be a huge hit (there was even a bidding war to get the movie rights to the book).

Never heard of it before? That's a pity, as it's actually a fairly clever premises.

This trailer makes it look like a bunch of dumb, generic action. I'm cautiously optimistic about the it though. I can only hope that Burton doesn't involve himself too much, since he wouldn't even know how to go about making a good film nowadays.

Honestly though, I much preferred the tone and style of the book's original advert.

How could Community possibly follow up having The Wire's Omar as a professor? With Giancarlo Esposito, aka Gus Fring on Breaking Bad. If that show gets canceled I personally vow to ban anyone who says anything good about The Big Bang Theory on these forums.

new here on the forums! cheers!

correct me if I am wrong, but there will ba a remake of Schindler's List, come 2013 or later this year. Well, Liam Neeson + Steven Spielberg are large shoes, even impossible to top. but by the quality of the movies nowadays, a gloomy CGI feel wouldn't suffice for me.

just my 2 cents

I have not seen any confirmation of a remake, just Mel Gibson saying he wanted to do it (and that was back in January 2011).

Well... Mel Gibson has done crazier films. I'd really like to see his take on Schindler's List, given how he feels about Jews.

In its defense, I must say that the show would be a lot better if the character "Penny" didn't have permanent duck face. Like her reaction to every situation is duck face.
