I t was reported a while back that this was not going to be an origin story since Sony just did the origin story less than a decade ago.

The Last Airbender (cartoon) sequel in the works for debut 2011

AVATAR: The Legend of Korra

A spinoff from Nickelodeon's "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is in the works.
The channel said Wednesday the new animated TV series will premiere in 2011. It has the working title, "The Legend of Korra."

Nickelodeon says the series will build on the "mythology" of the original "The Last Airbender" series, which inspired this summer's live-action movie from filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan (SHAH-muh-lahn).

The "Legend of Korra" is from the creator-producers of "Avatar: The Last Airbender."

Nickelodeon executive Brown Johnson says the new series will focus on a teenage girl avatar named Korra. Brown describes her as hotheaded, independent and "ready to take on the world."

"Avatar: The Last Airbender" has ranked among the highest-rate series on the Nickelodeon and Nicktoons channels.

Nickelodeon said in a release that “The Legend of Korra takes place 70 years after the events of ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ and follows the adventures of the Avatar after Aang – a passionate, rebellious, and fearless teenaged girl from the Southern Water Tribe named Korra.”

Korra’s quest eventually leads her to Republic City–the epicenter of the world of “Avatar.” A metropolis powered by steampunk-type technology, the city is inhabited by people from all nations. Korra finds thatRepublic City suffers from rampant crime and is also dealing with an anti-bender revolt. Korra is tutored by Aang’s son, Tenzin, is the ways of airbending.

So to shorten that up a bit;
New Avatar from the Southern Water Tribe named Korra who is being tutored by Aang's son Tenzin 70 years after the last series in the time of steam-punk.

That's the ****!

After looking more into it, it's just a mini-series...

Korra already know water, earth and fire. She meets up with Tenzin to learn airbending and deal with crime and ****. Should be interesting to watch.

The Haunted Mansion

Thinking about the last haunted mansion makes me groan, but then I found out Guillermo Del Toro is directing it. Also, that it won't be a comedy.
Guillermo Del Toro and ghost movies go back a long way. One of my favorite ghost movies is The Devil's Backbone.

Pirates 4 was revealed at Comic Con.

I'm excited for it. Hoping that the change ups they are making (like dropping Kiera Knightly and Orland Bloom) will be for the better and the series can continue on in a good way.

I forgot what its called, but its like No More Heroes! Only instead of killing assassins this kid has to defeat evil ex-boyfriends of some girl. The whole classic video game score boards and point system is all uncluded. For the life of me I can not remember what it is called. But it absolutely HAD to be inspired by No More Heroes.

It looks only OK to me, I only wish it didn't star Michael Cera since he is so terrible. I think he is the worst lead movie actor I have seen in so long. I don't think I have seen a movie that had him in it that I liked.

The first issues of the Scott Pilgrim predated No More Heroes by several years, so probably not.  I'm not really familiar with the graphic novel, but from what I've read, it draws influence from a number of video game and anime sources, really.  I mean, it

One of my favorite interview quotes about the movie:

Quote
Edgar Wright: I haven’t told you this yet, but Shigeru Miyamoto—the Mario creator from Nintendo—has seen part of the film. We had to get his permission to use this piece of music from The Legend of Zelda for that dream sequence. So when I was writing to Nintendo to get permission, I was saying, “This music is like nursery rhymes to a generation.”

I am not interested in the movie (I don't care about Green Lantern that much, the only one I was interested in was John Stewart in Justice League), but that is awesome how they took the first line of the motto ad split it up among four posters.

The trailer I posted made me think that this movie wasn't going to turn out to be as good as I think it should, but apparently it was a censored trailer. Now the trailer you posted, Brandogg, is full of win. I'm happy to know that it's going to be as awesome as I think it should be.

Now that you guys mention it, and after looking at Eva Mendez on imdb, it does look like her. Wierd. She's not even mentioned in the credits at the end of the trailer, nor on Machete's and her own imdb page.
