Looking forward to trying the KFC sandwich, to those who have trouble processing gluten, or just carbs in general it is a life saver if you want something special.

Well you could make your own Shaymin.

I so want to try that KFC sandwich, even though I probably wouldn't keep it.

I can't say I'm really surprised to see that, though. Have you seen their KFC "Famous Bowls"? It's basically half of their menu shoved into a bowl. I don't think you even get a fork.

I plan on doing the new sandwich this weekend. I had to make home made chili first.

Nowhere near enough, Vegemite is the lifeblood of Australia.

I should make a EXTREME VEGEMITE SANDWICH. Okay, my mind is set, this is happening. In the planning stages now.

And if there wasn't a grilled version, it still is lower in carbs then a bun.

Debatable. Depends on what conditions the person has.BTW am I the only one seeing the irony of complaining about the fat content of a fast food "sandwich" in a topic about Extreme Sandwiches that probably have more calories/fat/carbs packed into them then probably 10 double downs. ;)

So I tried the KFC sandwich, and I'd have to say I don't believe it could hold a candle to anything ShyGuy has made.

Essentially, anything that has bacon and cheese on it, but over-powers the taste of the bacon and cheese entirely, so you can't taste them, is no good to me.  The taste of the chicken was too strong, and while I could feel the texture of the cheese, it was barely noticeable.  If I hadn't seen the bacon, myself, I wouldn't have even thought it was on there afterward.

I'm not surprised to hear that. When you're mixing a bunch of flavours then you have to strike a balance so nothing gets overpowered by something which tastes too strong. Really, the bread of a sandwich is just to keep it all together and make it easy to hold, it isn't supposed to add much to the taste. Replacing it with something flavourful might seem like a good idea, but it actually isn't.

I'd also imagine the sandwich is really greasy and messy, even if you get the grilled version...

Nah, it wasn't that bad, because it comes with a paper wrap to hold onto it.  It really is a waste of time, though.

A sandwich that could possibly be sold in around 5000 stores across your country wouldn't be considered extreme. Well, I guess it could, but it wouldn't be like the one-off type delas found in this thread.
