3 more minutes, come on Team USA!

Edit: As far as I'm concern, Team USA won this game. What a load of bull.

That game needed at least 1  more minute! Dumb ref! I'm watching the game with spanish commentators and they are saying that the refs called really bad plays. Is it the same for the english commentators?

The guys on ESPN blasted him, too. First the bullshit yellow card, then disallowing the winning goal when not only was he not offside, one of our guys was fouled during the play.

Well, to be honest, in that winning goal, they were ALL grabbing each other. They should have let the goal in just because of that. The defense was fouling the offense (USA) and they were trying their best to make the goal, and they did. You gotta reward that, not just invalid the game winning goal.

I'm really pissed.

And the U.S. gets screwed out of another goal. I'm trying to like soccer, I really am, but if the officiating is going to continue to be this bad I don't think I can keep it up.

Even with the refs disallowing good goals left and right, the United States lives to play another day!

I am crushed by Italy's exit. The glimpses of brilliance they showed were fleeting but the impact that Pirlo had was unquestionable. Going forward they would have a been a major threat notwithstanding the fact that a showdown with the Dutch loomed.

In regards to group D I feel that the worst team (Ghana) has made it through. Both Australia (after the Germany game) and Serbia showed a lot more promise.

The Germany - England game is going to be massive. USA have done very well to get top spot, Ghana will be considerably easier.

 :'(

Just starting to get interested in the game and US loses. Though my interest was in part due to my gf and her family who are crazy into the game and also updates from Toruresu. I normally don't follow sports but something about the excitement of the World Cup drew me in. I think it is the allurement of a true global competition.

The Netherlands win was awesome. Brazil is the Yankees of Soccer; unless you're Brazillian, you've gotta root against them.

Germany's going to win the world cup, and I'm not saying that because Brazil just loss lol. Ever since they won England, and seeing how they play I was sure they are the most likely candidates. Unless of course they stupidly loose to Argentina.

I used to, not much anymore. Though less people seem to be excited about the Olympics. Not the same type of fervor from the fans.
