Some kids from South Medford High (My school), took first place in the OSSI Film Festival...

I'm pretty good friends with the Camera Man (Sam Wilder) and Main Actor (Rousseaux  Brasseur, aka Moose)... Moose is a crazy man.

So... actually, I just looked up what this festival was (I really didn't know what it was before)... but our school is part of the Bill Gates Foundation's OSSI (Oregon Small School Initiative). The whole idea of "small schools" is splitting up groups of teachers into "small schools" within a larger school. So that these teachers can have better communication, amongst each other, about joint projects and such...
There are currently 15 Schools participating (and by participating, I mean taking Bill's money)... every school sent 1-3 entries in to this "Film Festival". So in the end... It's not that big of a deal. Oh well...

Yup, I still have a neutral opinion on that video. It just didn't do it for me and I can't understand why it won an award, or were the other videos bad enough.

I think it's pretty well done, actually. Some of the videography is pretty dang professional-looking. The whole intro sequence is really good, actually, though it doesn't keep it up for the whole way.

The credit/outtakes/just-playing-around at the end was pretty funny too. Did he eat the bee? What the crap, dude, I'd worry about it stinging my tongue

Especially since all of the filming was done during one day... For southern oregon public education it's pretty damn good.

The main actor probably has one of the worst haircuts I have ever seen, the haircut along with the "outtakes" has confirmed in my mind that he is a massive douche.

I didn't mind the movie apart from the main guy and the songs were a little grating, but yeah I agree with Caliban, I can't see it winning any awards.
