What kind of bizarro world do you come from where your run-of-the-mill SMG has a trigger placed with the foregrip? Get real.

My gun shell has sight notches so it's already a millions times easier to aim than the real Zapper. No guess work, at all.

If the Zapper was meant to be pushed against your shoulder, it'd have an appropriately long stock. But no, it's just fail, just like your spare-hand shenanigans.

I actually prefer HotD2 over 3. The zombies are so annoying in 3. The either stay down or they don't and you can tell as easy when they are dead. Plus the final boss is such a little bitch.

Just watched the trailer. The graphics look pretty good some spots, but rather bland in others. Unless the develop that All Seeing Eye tool into a fun mechanic, I fear the game will just be another generic FPS. Also, I couldn't help but notice that the aiming reticle looked to be moving around the screen, ala Red Steel. I really hope this is not the case, as that makes turning painfully slow. With the Wii, developers really need to look toward the PC and design games so that the screen moves around the reticle, thus making one's ability to look around much quicker and more precise.

I understand what you mean. When I first saw the "Laser Sight Special Crossbow w/ safety arrow" trailer I immediately said "I like it in the butt", too.

I just ordered the Wii Perfect Shot for $11.57. It was a good deal with free shipping so I figured why not? I was just wondering what games would work well with it?

It's perfect for Umbrella Chronicles. It works well in Ghost Squad, though as ProGurl would point out, that game is all about machine guns, not pistols. I haven't played it, but I imagine it's good for House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return.

Basically, if a game proclaims Wii Zapper support, that means it was designed to be played without the remote's face buttons, so it should work with any gun shell. The only caveat is that Nintendo's backwards Zapper design might lead some developers to make Z the fire button instead of B, which is fine for the Zapper itself and clones of it, but not for pistol designs like the Perfect Shot. Hopefully, they'll be smart enough to make that optional.

Umbrella Chronicles is a weird one to comment on because it won't play like a light-gun game no matter what plastic shell is used, since the crosshair cannot be disabled and no calibaration options are offered. All the shells do is give you something new to hold in your hand. The satisfaction of aiming by looking down the gun's sights is just not there.

On top of that, the sights on nearly all Wiimote-only pistol shells are rubbish -- they're incomplete or nonexistant. Without decent sights, there's no reliable/controlled way to calibrate them in a game like House of the Dead 3. I'm still waiting to see a pistol shell that gets it right.

I do recall that Ghost Squad does have unlockable pistols, which would make it a prime application for proper pistol shells (turning it into Virtua Cop!). Should I make another humiliating list for pistol shells?

The most retarded thing I've seen so far on the software side is House of the Dead 2/3 requires you hold the B-trigger first if you want to shoot with the Z-trigger (maching gun scheme) -- totally ruins the experience with my submachine gun shell, which is one of the reasons why I ordered the Shotgun Shell.

True, but I bought it primarily for the ergonomics. Pointing at the screen with the remote requires an unnatural wrist position that becomes painful quickly. My first marathon Boom Blox session left me sore for days.

Got my Shotgun yesterday. It's a decent hunk of plastic.

The butt stock is removable, the useless laser barrel is removable, it has a LASER SIGHT (additional batteries req'd), and it conceals the Remote strap and Nunchuck cord completely.

Aiming is great at the recommended 10-ft standing distance w/ calibration, tho at that distance it'd be nice to have a 100-inch TV. Feels best with House of the Dead 3.

The unfortunate drawback to these shells with custom triggers is they tend to be spring-loaded, requiring more work to pull than your simply clickity B-trigger. Shots didn't seem to register if I didn't pull back hard enough, and you have to pull pretty far back. Arcade light-gun cramping kicked-in in the first minute of play. I will add some scotch tape padding to the trigger assembly to help remedy it.

Ghost Squad doesn't present this problem with submachine gun shells since the Nunchuck can be used to fire.

Using this with a Silent Scope game retooled for Wii would be great.
