So today is Super Mario Bros 3 20th birthday.
Some thoughts.
I remember playing through the game when I was younger and I tried to beat the game without using a warp whistle. I managed to do it. It took several days to do so I had to keep the NES on.The NES version didn't have a in game save. The GBA game did though. Anyway as I made it through the game and finally reached Bowser it took a few tries to figure out how to beat him. As I beat him I was happy that I beat the game.

Other Mario games that I beat was Super Mario Bros 2.The one with Mario,Luigi,Toad and Princess Toadstool.I went through all the levels. For the majority of the game I used Luigi. I just loved how high he could jump and could reach certain areas easier. Princess Toadstool was used second when I needed to use her floating ability. I used toad more than Mario.I think I used both in the range of single digits.Toad more though.

I was at school one year and we were having a party and Someone brought in Super Mario Bros. It was nearing time to stop the party when I got my turn and I beat the game in 5 mins and 13 seconds. Just in time to the end of the party. Of course I used the warp pipes it was fun.

Like the day after we got the game, my brother and I had a day off from school so i thought I'd get to play ALL day... But I had a dentist appointment and had a loose tooth removed. I remember coming home with a cotton ball stuffed where the tooth had been and AMAZED my brother got to World 2 and couldn't wait to play. It took some whining before he let me play, and then he got pissy I beat the fortress he was having so much trouble on. I think I also remember thinking he was some sorta genious when i found the Magic Flute in that world, then later I realized he'd found out about it in a Nintendo Power.

My b-day has been delayed till this weekend. I was supposed to go out of town (Las Vegas), but decided that ends were a little tight right now and that money could be handled better. Going local instead.
