Radio Free Nintendo - Episode 21
« on: October 11, 2006, 08:27:32 PM »
The Podcast is old enough to drink! The hosts, meanwhile, are not. We talk about Wii this time though!

The Podcast goes here.

Let's just say that this hasn't been an easy week. Karl hosts, thank goodness, and I get to sit back and be smarmy (a special talent I have cultivated for many days). We take a commercial break from me to listen to me interviewing Daniel Bloodworth about Activision, which honestly sounds a bit funny. I'm not so egocentric as to think the world revolves around me. BTW, here's what my Mii looks like:

A fairly accurate representation, all my friends say.

Episode 21: Activision, Ubi, and PS3

AAC Format

MP3 Format

You can also listen to the podcast on Odeo.

powered by ODEO

I will reiterate: this hasn't been an easy week. We have had more technical difficulties than a Sony system launch, and we managed to ship a product that is only slightly less buggy. I do not say this as an apology, since I wouldn't ever publish a podcast that I could apologize for (at least, not anymore. Don't listen to episode 6). Moreover, I want to give kudos to Mike Sklens, Jonathan Lindemann, and Rick Powers for all coming through when it was needed, even though their efforts were in vain. Thanks guys, we owe you one.

This Podcast's topics are in the title: Blood goes in depth on the Activision Wii titles he got to play last week, and we comment on some Ubisoft racing wheel videos we saw here and here.

The people who pop the AAC into iTunes will be treated to a special picture from E3. So do that! In fact, subscribe to us on iTunes and rate us there as well!

Do you have feedback too personal for iTunes? E-mail us! Illicit love letters can be sent directly to me, however.

And for rizzo, stop doing drugs right now.

Edit: Did I forget to mention THE NARUTO CONTEST?

No Odeo?

So the whole Podcast was for the interview and Naruto contest plug.
I might send a script but it would involve some work...  Actually I have the script I just don't have the equipment to grab the raw sounds I need for it...

WTF

Well atleast that wasn't a crime aganist nature. That "interview" saved you even though it didn't offer much beyond the impressions published earlier.

I guess better luck next time is in order. And maybe an apology, maybe.

For me, the fact that I was called out as being "old, gruff, and bald" made it the most hilariously entertaining podcast ever.  And as for the script, all I can say is, true story.  Except the hahaha wasn't creepy.

......comedy is hard.  Maybe u guys should stick to other topics such as the Uwe Bolle boxing fights that u promised to update us on, or how Jack Thompson is making himself look more like a giant douche.

Or you could ridicule forum posters like myself for having the forum postings of a 14 year old girl, i dunno but that was a pretty bad podcast.  Good luck on getting the buckethead to join u.

You don't have to record anything to send in a written script, Ceric.

I laughed hard at this episode.  Maybe that's because I know Lindy and can appreciate Evan's fine characterization?

This podcast wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be.  I enjoyed it enough.

My biggest complaint was that Bloodworth sounded like he's on Activision's payroll.  Seriously.  I'm not sure what it was exactly, but something about either his choice of words or his inflection when speaking made him sound like a PR guy.

Last time I checked you had to be 21 years old to drink.  The podcast is barely 5 months old.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

heh, sorry.  I guess maybe it's because I walked in not expecting anything great, and all the games turned out to be pretty good (except Spiderman DS Clone 2006).
