Nintendo Gaming / RE: Email Nintendo and tell them you HATE the name!
« on: April 29, 2006, 10:03:12 AM »
Heres the message I sent, hopefully they will listen to the peolpe for once.

I was never fond of the name Gamecube or the design of the console but I learned to live with it. Wii, come on! Do yourself a favor and FIRE the person that came up with it. Will it keep me from buying the console, No, but the controller will. I truly hope you guys are going to impress me at E3 or this will be the first Nintendo console I dont buy, I still have them all, even the Virtual Boy! I've been a huge fan of Nintendo since the Nes so I'm not that hard to win over but their are millions of Sony fanboys that hate Nintendo and your not doing anything to change it with such a STUPID name for the console. You need to start listening to us (the gamers) or we will be playing Zelda & Mario on the PS3, which I'm definitly buying.

Sincerely,
Kenneth Toy

I didn't sell the DS. I don't sell anything. Are their any good games that dont reqire the stylus?

Quote

I think pronouncing a system dead because of the launch lineup is ignorant. Calling the system pointless because the launch games sucked even after better games are released borders on malicious.

I didn't say any of that, I want a joystick or the cross pad, call me old fashioned.

Im not really impressed with the REV controller, but their has to be more to it than that, the thing has no buttons. I'm just tired of Nintendo trying to change the world instead of giving the gamers what they ask for.

Ahaha, PSP...Wait, you're serious...

Very, The best thing about the DS is Mario. I played it and enjoyed it but then again I didn't need the stupid stylus, except for the bonus games, which I dont mind.

do some research before spouting your ignorance.

First off, Im far from ignorant, and I have heard of a more traditional controller, now show it to me. I haven't seen anything saying you can use the GC controllers on REV games, so thats nice to hear.

I wish I had the faith you guys do. I have every Nintendo console ever made, but this one is gonna kill em. This controller sucks. It's just my opinion, but I think they are shooting themselves in the foot. Again!!! I have a Ds, it's great for Gba games, but I have NO desire to play games with a stylus, which is why I barely touch the thing since I got the PSP. I know the REV has ports for Gamecube controllers, if I can use one of them on Rev games then Ill buy it, If not, then I'll probably pass on the REV.

Nintendo Gaming / Minish Cap Question
« on: June 27, 2005, 07:08:55 AM »
I need a little help. I'm in the royal Crypt, in the second room there are 3 mushrooms, one of them is supposed to throw me over the gap. According to a FAQ I read it's the left one but I cant get it to work. Am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My fave will always be Nintendo, but I think its foolish to ignore a good product because it's not made by them. I have a Psp, awsome graphics and some really good games so far. I think it's a little expensive for younger gamers, but Im 41 and can pretty much afford what I want within reason.

Really Toy. Since you say "paid for" I assumed you preordered it from EB or Gamestop who force you to pay $400 for it.

I ordered mine at Gamestop and they only charged me 250.00. It comes with the soft case, memory stick, Spiderman 2 the movie, a demo(I think) etc. I didn't even HAVE to buy a game, but obviously I did.

unlike the PSP which rams the stuff down your throat.

I dont understand this attitude. If Sony includes extra features, why is that a bad thing. You don't have to use them if you don't want to. If you dont want to listen to music, dont. If you dont want to watch movies, dont. It seems alot of people want these extras, I know I do. I think Nintendo is run by fools that won't listen to the gaming public, they keep trying to be DIFFERENT and its killing them. N64 cartridges instead of cd's, the design of the cube screams k iddy, whereas the PS2 looks like it belongs with the rest of my audio/video equipment. You know what they say, image is everything. I have every Nintendo console ever made, yes even Virtual Boy, and I will probably buy the next one, but alot of gamers won't give it a chance if Nintendo doesn't make some real changes.

I found a really cool use for Picto-chat. I use it to help my 5yr old study the alphabet and his numbers. Like most kids he would rather play (he stole my first DS so I had to buy a second) than study. With Picto-chat, I send him letters, numbers, or small words to see what he recognizes, now he doesn't mind studying at all. when were done studying we get some multi-player Mario going.

No good games to play in the trusty old GBA, is it just sittin' around collecting dust? Not anymore, Turbo XS gives your old system new life. I saw this in EGM and I had to see if it was real, so If you have a few spare GBA's sittin around you can have the coolest gauges in town.

The Wavebird controller is awsome and the battery life isnt a concern, but you do lose the rumble feature.

so quit complaining

I wasn't complaining, I just think its dumb to bother putting in a mp only game. Like I said before, Give us a couple levels or some bots to play against. I dont have a problem with mp games but I dont know anyone else buying a DS. My friends dont play video games so for me and I'll bet alot of others it will be useless. By the way i'm probably much older than the average poster here which is why my friends dont play.

It is a demo, consisting of both single player levels and multiplayer levels.

Accorcding to the PGC main page, the demo is only multi-player.

Quote

UPDATE: Nintendo has also revealed that Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt is being bundled with the DS. First Hunt is a four-player demo, designed to show off the system's wireless multiplayer function. There is no single-player mode in the demo, but it is expected in the full version of Metroid Prime Hunters which will be released at a later date.

If this is true it stinks, If there going to spend the money packing it in, you would think they would give you at least 1 or 2 single player levels to check the game out. A multi only game will be useless to most peolpe.

How about putting the laptop in a port replicator. That should give you s video input.

They might make a port replicator for the 1100 with the correct input.
