NWR Feedback / That damn black screen
« on: April 06, 2003, 10:09:00 AM »
You know, Rick, a person gets better business if they change for the "customer" instead of the "customer" changing for the business.

If you don't understand, then I'll make it easier.

People will visit PGC more if PGC gets rid of the stupid take-over ads because a lot of people are having problems with them.  PGC will get less visitors if PGC tells the visitors to use a different browser than they prefer because PGC doesn't feel like getting rid of the stupid take-over ads.

It's likely Safari's fault, but it still forces me to use a seperate browser to access PGC.  Very annoying.

It's not Safari's fault.  I've tried PGC and the Forums with Internet Explorer (and Safari), and it happens on both.  Quite annoying because I have to hit the Stop button at the right time to get them to stop.

General Gaming / Theory on why MGS2:Substance was named what it was
« on: March 15, 2003, 08:36:32 AM »
I think it's called Substance because it's a game.  MGS2:SoL was just a movie with a few scenes where you could play.  I actually drank a 24 case of Mountain Dew: Code Red while watching the "cutscenes" in the "game".

TalkBack / Capcom to Deliver a New GBA Zelda
« on: February 25, 2003, 11:18:59 AM »
According to Game Informer Magazine, the title of the new Zelda GBA game is The Legend of Zelda: The Triforce Gods/Four Swords.  It looks like it's going to be two new games, instead of one.  Unless they release the same version of Four Swords, which wouldn't be smart, although everyone would buy it just because it's a new Zelda game.

General Chat / The Ultimate Good Games List!

Game: Super Mario 64
System: N64

This is a great game, it's fun, and it made gaming what it is today.  It revolutionized 3D gaming so that it would no longer be like the Crash Bandicoot platform-esque games.

General Gaming / Your computer specs.

I don't see how it's a poll.  There are no choices.  And it shouldn't result in a flame war.

General Gaming / Your computer specs.

I think this should go here, I don't see where else it would fit.

Anyway, just post the specifications on your computer, any peripherals you want to add about your computer, your operating system, etc.

Here's mine:

Computer type:  Apple G4 iMac
Monitor: 15" Apple Flat Panel LCD Display (built in)
Processor: 800MHz PowerPC G4
Hard Drive:  60GB
Memory:  512MB SDRAM
Operating System: Mac OS X (10.2.4)/Mac OS 9.2
Disc Bay:  Apple SuperDrive (CD-RW/DVD-R)
Internet connection speed:  Cable
Screen resolution:  1024x768
Peripherals:

Apple Pro Speakers
Apple Pro Keyboard
WACOM Graphire 2 tablet (used also as mouse)
Hewlitt Packard Printer (I don't remember what kind, it's upstairs)
Fujifilm FinePix Digital Camera

Well, that's mine.  I don't want this turning into a flame war, or "My computer is better than your's" topic.

General Chat / Samus Aran bobblehead doll (with picture)
« on: February 16, 2003, 10:03:44 AM »
The GameStop where I got mine at also only had two of them.  I'm going to go back tomorrow or so to buy some other Nintendo bobbleheads.  I have to get money by shoveling snow, first, though.  Samus is currently sitting next to my Blues (from Rockman) Ironplated Action figure.

General Chat / Samus Aran bobblehead doll (with picture)

I'm not sure if this was ever posted (this is my second post here), but I just went to GameStop and they had a Samus Aran bobblehead, so I bought it.  It looks pretty good, actually, not like the action figure.  It's more of a "Bobble uppertorso" doll, though.   It's made of a heavy-duty plastic, and looks to be hand painted from the crappy Metroid Prime and Nintendo GameCube logos/words.  Here's a link to the picture:

TalkBack / Zelda Date Break?
« on: February 12, 2003, 09:28:05 AM »
I spent all day waiting for the mail, it came hours later than it usually does, and I still didn't get my disc.  I'm not very happy.  I got fifteen dollars from my aunt, though, so I'm not pissed about it.
