I hope they make me a kick-ass soldier.  I did this about a month ago, I dunno if that'll increase my odds though.  But it'd be sweet!

I honestly don't know if I want it this year.  Nintendo just didn't have a good enough showing.

That sounds like a fantabulous idea!  Does anyone know how much the GBPlayer will cost alone?

Nintendo Gaming / Enter The Matrix

I also have it, and I must say that I wish they had spent some more time polishing it.  I just doesn't feel finished.  The game is really fun, don't get me wrong, but I have a lot of gripes.  First of all, where is the Surround Sound!!  What is up with a Matrix game that only runs in Mono and Stereo?  Another gripe is the hit detection.  It's marginal at best.  While the moves are very well scripted, it takes something away when the guy you're attacking goes flying, but your kick mised him by about a foot.  Also, sprinting with Ghost looks VERY FUNNY.  Congrats to Shiny for awesome character design, the people in the game look really good.  I do wish, however, that they'd put the same amount of detail into the vehicles.  The cars in the game look absolutely fugly.  The in-game cut-scenes are also an eyesore to look at.  And those ladder climbing animations...

At it's core, and despite all my gripes, it's still a very enjoyable game.  And the live action cut-scenes are a must see.  I would definately suggest a rental before you buy this one.

The two games I'm most excited about that were at this years show are 1080* Avalanche and Rogue Squadron III.

General Gaming / WHATS WITH THE NEW ZELDA GAMES
« on: May 15, 2003, 05:54:53 PM »
I really don't know about these games either.  They look pretty gimmicky to me.  I don't like the idea of HAVING to have a GBA or HAVING to have four players to play a game.

General Gaming / 'CIMA: The Enemy,' For Gamecube or GBA??
« on: May 15, 2003, 05:52:11 PM »
I read the article on PGC about this, but they don't SPECIFY what system its for!  It's not the first time I've had this problem with their articles.  If Daniel or Rick or someone on staff reads this, it would really be helpful for us ignorant readers (i.e. me) if you would put a stat bar or something at the beginning of each article that at least specifies what system it's for.  Thanks!

All I have to say is that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game had better be coming to GC, or I will be uber-pissed.

Nintendo Gaming / enter the matrix

Quote

it cost 10million to develop

Pretty amazing that it's already turned a profit in pre-orders only (assuming that people put full money down).  I think I read somewhere that Enter the Matrix has already passed 4 million pre-orders over the three systems (that may include PC as well).  Doing the math:

         4,000,000 (orders) x $50 (cost) =  $200,000,000 = Holy freakin' crap!

So they haven't said who the developer for Custom Robo is yet?  Hmmm... I wonder if this IS the Zoonami game...

Well, I'm hoping it'll be good.  I pre-ordered it awhile ago.  We're gonna pick it up while we're waiting in line to see the movie and put my gamecube and TV in the back of my blazer and play the game while we're waiting in line for the movie!  It's gonna be soo bomb!

Nintendo Gaming / Zoonami Speculation and Questions
« on: May 04, 2003, 12:25:12 AM »
It hasn't been hyped up too terribly much, which is probably a good thing.  From all your replies I've gathered that neither Nintendo or Zoonami have said a word about this game in months.  Hrmmm...   Guess we'll all just have to wait until E3.

Nintendo Gaming / Zoonami Speculation and Questions
« on: May 02, 2003, 11:41:21 PM »
First of all, is Zoonami a Nintendo 2nd Party developer?  I honestly don't remember.

Secondly, has any news been released about their planned game for GC?  I know they've been uber-secretive about it, as is the Nintendo way.  I hope we'll get a taste of it at E3.  Do you think It'll be an entirely new game, or do you think it's the long-awaited sequel of one of Nintendo's legendary franchises of old.  We've witnessed a strikingly large amount of instances where Nintendo essentially "loans" it's franchises out to developers; I wonder if that's what they're doing with Zoonami.

Any thoughts or remarks on " GAME ZERO? "

I know you can work through it, I just can't remember how.  Sorry, that didn't help at all, did it?

Yeah, I remember it.  PGC actually has it slated to release this month.  I haven't heard too much about it though.  Hopefully it hasn't been canceled.  It looked pretty cool.  I should come out sometime this summer, I'm guessing.

General Chat / Tribute to Mr. Rogers
« on: February 27, 2003, 07:26:15 AM »
Mr. Rogers, the popluar host of the long-running children's television show, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, died early this morning due to complications with his stomach cancer.  If any of you grew up watching his show like I did, you can understand that his shows opened up a whole world of imagination while at the same time, instilling moral values that will be used throughout life.  He will be sorely missed.

R.I.P.

Nintendo Gaming / PN03 Discussion
« on: February 25, 2003, 09:05:20 AM »
Hemmorrhoid, I've never seen that before.  Thanks for posting that!  It looks like the suits might generate element-based attacks, and the different levels must be for varying degrees of power, right?  This game just got a LOT cooler.

Nintendo Gaming / Animal Crossing Pattern Design Question
« on: February 24, 2003, 09:29:12 AM »
There is an amazing little program running around the internet that allows to to turn any picture you have on your computer (has to be .jpg, i think) into an Animal crossing bitmap.  It's called Anicro Desapro, but I don't have the web address.  I downloaded it and it works fantastically.

Nintendo Gaming / What are the plans for Serial Port #2?
« on: February 24, 2003, 07:21:22 AM »
Well, I think Nintendo is going to release the ASCII Keyboard Controller soon, but that uses a regular controller port.  I don't know what Nintendo is planning, but hopefully it won't go unused, like the N64's did here in the States.
