if you are getting RE Zero and Four  and have not played the Resident Evil remake (ONE) then you are really missing out.

that remake is by far the creepiest of all the RE titles yet.

include that with 4 and Zero .

oh and Ikaruga is a great game as well.

beyond good and evil was fun with a good story as well.

is it ever going to happen?

black would be nice, or  even indigo or the mustard color they have done in standard controllers.

anything besides grey and platnium would be nice.

anyone got the  inside scoop?

i'm surprised  to hear all the negitive feedback.

only reviews i have seen so far are all 9 and above.

the demo i played  awhile ago did not do much for me so i passed on it but with reviews or 9's and 9.5's  i have been considering a second chance.

i'm still on my original cube controllers from system launch.

if you want it to last forever then every 3000 miles ya gotta bring it in to get serviced.

it's like anything else, when you use it  it will wear. without upkeep or maintinence it will oneday fail.

that's Life, nothing ya can do about that, the human body is the same way too.

ok ,  so i dug the 1st prime and been considering getting this one.

up till the other day i was told  it could be beat in less then 10 hours and that is was nothing more then  pretty much the same game as the 1st.

not really a big deal if so but would like to know if that is the case before  buying it new.

yes, read a few post above where i  talked about the demo.

you get it when you buy a gamecube or other nintendo product free.

gamestop was informed to not give them out with preorders .

some might be  though so look around.

it is a quick demo like i said above but  really makes ya crave  the game to be here.

i think what people are  thinking is if link chops someone with a sword and there arm falls off or the body falls limp to the ground dead then there should be something to indicate he actually made contact if it is going to be real.

otherwise they should once again vanish into big poofs of smoke.

either way works but  a dead limp lifeless body laying on the floor after i hacked him up with no blood makes less sense then one that vanished  into a big purple cloud of smoke.

i mean a 30 second clip showing the basic intros and game footage.

would have been real nice  if  it did  have  a 30 minute deal showing the story and  progress of each one.

the big prob is not really the ratings but the parents .

if only some would take interest in what their kids were into.

i play through so many games with my son and if it is a bit violent or questionable then i ONLY let him play it  when were in the same room or together. that away i can keep him  remembering that it is a game and in real life  that stuff hurts.

and  when i can't  be with him while he plays then he's got mario sunshine and many other similar games that i have  played through myself as well and feel are more then ok for him to play.

wish all parents would just put more time and interest into their kids instead of themselves.

Yesterday my local gamestop called me up and  let me know they just received  RE 4 demo disk that are for customers. It contains a movie  from RE Zero through RE 4 and a playable demo that  is up until the bells sound and the villagers leave  ya to go play bingo.

All I can say is the AI is amazing. Running around, jumping out of windows. Running across roof tops and jumping down off second stories to barley get away from a chain saw is intense.

If you had ever gotten your head gnawed off by the blade then you know exactly what I mean.

The controls work,  they do take some getting used to after playing halo 2 so much lately but I am hoping they have an inverse look option for aiming. The options on the demo do not work.

If you got a local game stop your well acquainted with then get yourself up there and try and get them to hook you up with a demo. Supposedly they are only supposed to be given out with new cube purchases or other Nintendo products.

On a different note. Is it true that RE 4 was announced for the XBOX shortly after the PS2 port was announced? I am assuming  that the person mentioning that  was misinformed but figured I would check since  the reason for the PS2 port is money then  there is nothing keeping them from doing xbox either.

i  got a chance  to play the demo the other day and all i gotta say is WOW!

i was in the middle of a crowded mall and still had some fear factor  put into me by the game.

i can not believe how intense the ai seems so far in it.

you can not just duck into a building  to collect your thoughts  as they will find a way in after you. bashing out windows from a back way or  bashing in a front door they  even throw up a ladder to a second story room .

i was always looking forward to this game but am so anxious now that i really wish it was out now. the demo put silent hill 4 and 2  to shame.  the controls seemed pretty good although it seems that when you are shooting you  are stuck in a non moving state now unless i just did not get that part figured out.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE GAME!

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Nintendo paten on online console play?
« on: August 20, 2004, 03:34:28 AM »
where is this thread in the DS forum. i have not found one matching this one at all.

if  there is one with  people actually discussing this  other then just complaining about something they are not sure about then by all means please post me in the right direction. considering this is not one console specific then  it  seems the general Nintendo area is  still best suited for this topic.

Chongman, it is obvious whatever mod locked the 1st post did not notice the date or really read the article.  in other words they were a bit trigger happy with their powers at hand.

anyway. what happened to all the people who used to be on here that had Nintendo facts bubbling out their ears and mouth?  fill us in  on what ya know on this!

Bloodworth, you still around?  what's the scoop on this if any?

exactly my point, this is NEW. was just released today so  why  is everyone talking about locking?

this could be  huge for Nintendo and could be devistating for console online play  or even larger for nintendo if they can  somehow charge other consoles to use it. i have no idea what is going on with this but  if it's real then it could be huge.

Stop what?  lock why?

i am interested in what's  the deal with this?

are you saying your not?
or is  this kind of talk no longer allowed after 3 years of being on this forum?

it sure used to be used to discuss Nintendo, so what gives now?

if i  have missed something then please expand on what the hell it is your talking about.
i no longer live on this forum and try to come here of all  old Nintendo forums for a quick fix here and there and this topic got me to come back to find out what is real and what is not.

sorry if i have repeated something discussed many pages back or somewhere  else that only people who live eat and breath this forum might see it.

now please, opinions and facts on this link would be great to hear.
thanks.

i saw a preview of this game today on a demo disk and it looked pretty lacking.
even made me not care to go see the movie with my son if the movie is as bad as the game looked. lol

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo patten on online console play?
« on: August 19, 2004, 12:10:40 PM »
This is the 1st I have heard of Nintendo going full force into online play.
Not only are they taking the plunge but it sounds as if they are making it so that other consoles might not be able to follow.
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/08/19/nintendo_online_gaming/
anyone heard anything more on this yet?
can they really paten online console play?

This is not anything to do with the DS this is general Nintendo discussion and not intended to be about the next system or the DS but Nintendo and if they have truly got a paten for online play or not.

There is no reason to lock the possible discussion of such a topic without full facts disproving or proving this in any way shape or form. Not unless  some mod here actual has something against the discussion of Nintendo that we should know about?
is this still a discussion forum or not?

I'd like to hear more about this, true or false and all's opinions on it either way.

so it's worth playing alone?

i bought it as something for my son and i to play at the same time but sounds like the only way that will happen is if we buy a second gameboy now.

Nintendo Gaming / 4 swords question for gamecube
« on: June 29, 2004, 08:25:28 AM »
i just bought it but am thinking of returning it before opening it.

can you play  it  2 player one with a normal gamecube control and player 2  with a gameboy?

from the back  of the box it looks like the only way you can use a gamecube controller at all is if you play only single player and if you choose to play multiplayer then you have to use all gameboys.

if this is the case i want to return it cause i bought it to play with  my son  and am not about to go buy a second gameboy just to play it.

anyone know the scoop?
