I guess I should contribute.
I feeling fucking PUMPED for the new Godzilla movie. Every time I see a new trailer or a production still I just get this intense feeling. May 16th can't come soon enough.
There's this rumor (with pics!) flying around Neogaf about a PS4-exclusive Souls game (Demon's Souls, Dark Souls) codenamed Project Beast. Considering that Dark Souls was originally Project Dark, I think we may be seeing Beast Souls announced some time this year. Since I am such a Souls fanboy, it would be an understatement to say that I am hyped for this news.
The Marble Hornets creators just started a Kickstarter for the final season of the series and the Box set release just got funded as a stretch goal. I know what I'll be getting come August.

I'm really getting excited for Borderlands 2 on Vita. Having that kind of a deep, timesink game in that form factor is just what I'm looking for, and it's just a day (or 8 days, depending on the date a given site is listing) away.

Also, as anyone who follows me on Twitter will tell you, I am unbelievably excited for the NFL Draft. This is purported to be on of the deepest drafts ever, and my beloved Browns have an extra-large amount of picks due to trades, so this could be a huge turning point for the team if GM Ray Farmer does things right.

Downton Abbey Season 4 - I have been watching this with my middle daughter and she just has the best reactions, she's so into it. She bawled at the end of season 3.
Continuing to read Harry Potter to my youngest daughter. I read the whole series to the two older kids ages ago, and I am repeating the process now with the youngest. We are smack in the middle of Prisoner of Azkaban and the bit coming up is going to blow her mind. Cant' wait.

Listening to cane and rinse podcast about Mario Galaxy today made me HYPE for Koizumi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoshiaki_Koizumi)'s new game (best designer in the biz).
Can't wait to see what exactly he's been doing since SMG1.
Also can't wait to finish my job and spent next three days (holidays) playing games and pecking at my backlog.
Also looking forward to starting all these hopefully great games i amassed but i didn't played throughout on all consoles, handhelds and PC in the last three years (Red Dead Redemption, Vanquish, DMC, most of the Zelda games, Super Mario World, Mark of the Ninja, most of the Mega Man games and so on).
Also Shovel Knight.

Hyped to get my XLR cable so I can actually use my new Mic (Thought it came with one but I had already ordered a better one.)
It also looks like new House Siding with Shutters is going to be a reality. No more Drab House.
Still Hyped for Guardian of the Galaxy and I found that the Vita is getting a Sword Art Online game. Curious/Excited for that.

Over the past month and a half, I have literally been at an amazing party ever Saturday. I'm not talking about your techno filled parties with glowsticks, I'm talking about at least 100 countries are accounted for at this party, party.
Straight up international ragers.
This week is looking to be the best party yet as I'm throwing it once again in Drew Bree's old penthouse and I invited roughly 30 some FOTB Brazilians from the study abroad program of the neighboring university for the **** of it. This place can fill roughly 500 people and we had half that last time. But this time, I want people to leave because it's too crowded.
So yeah...I'm pretty hyped.

Fresh off the boat?
I'm psyched to finally be getting a bed at my new place. I've moved cities and have been sleeping on an inflatable mattress for the last month. It'll be nice to have a nice bed again! Also pretty hyped to christen the bed tonight as well. 8)

Yeah I ordered the bed, then told me it'd be a month wait. Luckily it was a ridiculously comfy mattress at an outrageous price haha.
Moved from Adelaide to Melbourne. Finally people might have heard of the city I live in! Sorta moved for work, I'm back at Uni finishing of my honours and then my masters. Also I have a lady friend who I've been seeing for a while living in Melbourne, so it's nice not having to do the long distance thing anymore.

I am hyped for my new job. Despite all my ups and downs this semester I was able to finish on a high note by landing a seasonal job as videographer for a local DJ company. I will also work gigs as a photographer and DJ on the side as I have time/they have need but it is exciting to be moving forward finally and to get back into the business that I love. It is also doubly exciting because not only will this give me much needed real world experience but it will help me fund my own video projects.

Had great success with a Spaghetti & Meatballs recipe yesterday, so we are going for a round 2 tonight and making enough for leftovers through the week.
I've been Jonesing playing a Spiderman game for a while, and since I no longer have Spiderman 2 or my PS2, I was able to find a copy of the new one at the nearby red box. (Don't ruin it for me, I know the reviews for it aren't great).
My wife is due with our 2nd son in about 2 1/2 weeks, but it seems like she may go into labor sooner than that. I'm more than excited for this to happen, even though it means going back to sleepless nights for a while.

After a two week delay I finally start my hands on training for my new job tomorrow. I also will be going to my first gig this weekend. I have done some DJ stuff on the side in the past but nothing professional so this is exciting for me. I am super nervous thought because I only ever been to two weddings before, both my sisters and I don't want to be the guy who ruined someone's wedding. I will be starting in DJ and they said I will train to be videographer latter in the season once things get going. I just hope this works out.

I had my first event last night. Since it was my first show and I was the trainee I mostly was there to shadow the main DJ but he was very good at including me in the activities. We did the ceremony and the reception it was way out in the country in the woods on their family farm. I gotta admit it was a lot of fun. I wasn't sure what to expect but being a part of that was a real motivator to start getting things back on track and moving on. Mostly all I did was set up and tear down but he did use me for going around taking down requests and I also ran the dollar dances which was a lot of fun especially for the couple. It might sound corny but as somewhat of an artist, seeing them react to our show and making their night special really made the night worth it and makes me think I will love this job. Heck I hesitate to call it a job as it was so much fun even once the gig was over we went back to the shop and had a barbeque till 4 in the morning, food, drinking, hanging out with the other DJ's. I can get into this. Not to mention the money was pretty good, not counting tips which were double what we got for the show, it was pretty good pay for basically hanging out with a bunch of laid back country folks who would have fun no matter what song we played. There were a couple of moments where I thought I was going to mess something up but the guy training me was so good at what he does he made our mistakes look like part of the show and people had good fun with it. It was also nice to have the bride walk up and thank us for doing such a good show. The reception was a lot of fun, the ceremony part was very awkward so I really hope I don't have too many more of those.
Last night made me realize all this going to school was totally worth it. Not that I couldn't have gotten a job like this without going to school but considering everyone else there also are going to school for pretty much the same thing or something in the same ballpark, it kind of makes me think it helped my chances.
My day job sucks and I want to quite every other day so finding something that I found I could really enjoy doing and not even consider it work is a big win for me right now.

Alright so I unofficially hijacked this thread but I guess I keep getting good news so here goes. I have a job interview with the local television station tomorrow. The guy who is training me at my videography job happens to work there so he put in a word for me and have me his bosses phone number. Because this is a huge step for me personally and professionally I am super excited but it also means I may be taking a break from the internet for a while. So if I suddenly disappear from here do not worry I will be okay.

Recently found out that my company has contract funding through the end of the year. It may not seem like much, but as I was furloughed for nearly a month in February due to budget/contract problems, this is pretty huge and somewhat of a relief.

I agree. It's a game based on a mediocre animated series whose best quality is how much it reminds you of better previous work (Avatar: The Last Airbender)...made by a mediocre developer whose best quality is how much their work reminds you of better previous projects. It is a match made in heaven! :P: :
All joking aside, the second season of Korra sucked, but if Platinum can make something good out of that show, more power to them. Korra's world is interesting. The show's writers have just failed to do anything compelling with it. Maybe Platinum can do better, though it being a download-only game coming out in a few months with no gameplay footage yet isn't encouraging.

No, not yet, but I hope you're right about that. I was really hyped for Korea before season 1 hit, and ever since I feel like we've been in a Sonic-esque "Korra Cycle." Man, season 2 was bad, outside the 2 retro episodes.

I'm going to watch the 1st 17 minutes of Guardians of the Galaxy today.
Early previews have been HYPED, and the impressions from the 10 min 3D motion viewing at Disneyland parks this past weekend have been nothing but great!!
This is the Marvel wild card, and if this movie works, things are about to get super crazy. Reviewers likened this one to having that feeling of watching Star Wars for the first time oh so many years ago, which is a HUGE compliment. So I hope it delivers as all the preview impressions have said it did.

I stopped watching tv after i moved my TV to my desk and made it my main monitor. I just couldn't be bothered to reconnect the cable back. Tour De France might as good reason as any.

Been away a while things been busy. I not only got accepted into the new school I wanted but they also got me into a program that is almost exactly what I was hoping for an is much better than what I was doing at my previous school anyways. Also I am loving my new job I only work one day a week and that pays all my bills so I am spending a lot of time on my other projects, got the blog up and running, made some music, and right now I am in process of doing a new video podcast thing for my site.
I am just excited to be getting back into school and I hope that it all works out better this time. I think I will do better online being anti-social and all.

Looks like I spoke too soon, turns out I DID get the job at the TV station, I start next week. They were at the state fair this week so they didn't return my calls because of that. Good to know I will be finally taking a bigger step into the career field I have been struggling to get into. If it works out that I can keep my weekend job that would be great too but if not I am okay with that.

So what am I hyped about now? Well I just finished my 30 day training/probation period at the Tv station, just two weeks into my training they offered me an even better job, morning camera operator. It is just as a fill in but still I get to go from being in the news room to in the studio where the real action is. Also the anchors went from not knowing I was even there to talking to me like I am part of the team once I stepped into the studio. I also gave my notice at the wedding company.

Congratulations, sir. You get a week off at Christmas and you have the honor to work 80 hours a week because you our a professional. Yes, when I interviewed with them out of school they actually told me they expected me to work 80 hours week regular because I was a professional. At that point I new no matter how interesting the work or the pay that they didn't respect me at all and weren't worth my time

Well you will all be saddened to know that I will probably be around less for the forseable future. As you might know I work for a local TV station and there is this election coming up next week, it's kind of a big deal to my workplace so long story short hours are picking up and work is crazy (blew past hectic when a certain former Presidential candidate was late for his appearance throwing our entire line up into chaos.) crazy but exciting times.
The reason I am hyped despite the chaos is less than a month into my new job at the station they already trained me to do production and have had me filling in on cameras and going back and forth between that and my regular editing position. So I am excited for the upcoming election because its going to be lots of fun at work.

I had a great week at work, the morning news anchor put in a good word for me with my boss and I am going into training to bump up into an assistant producer, a step towards actual producer and she is also going to help me work on getting into reporting so I will probably be doing some news reports in the near future. I will have to work my hardest at improving my writing and presentation skills so I need to basically bury this part of my life, wouldn't want my employers to see my post history here so I am probably walking away, for good this time. Stay cool everyone most of you were pretty cool people but I do have to think about the future.

Why should I be hyped for the return of something that hasn't left the public consciousness in at least 15 years? Seriously, since the Phantom Menace released, it feels like there's been a new Star Wars movie/TV show/ or game every year. Why should I be hyped for something that never left, especially with this one made by the guy who made 2 shitty Star Trek films & some abysmal TV series?

Speaking about being hyped for something that has left the public consciousness for at least 15 years...I am hyped that Mystery Science Theater is getting 14 more episodes, and that hopefully this will launch a new generation of Mystery Science Theater for years to come.
The old show is not always laugh out loud funny, and now the jokes are dated, but there is something fresh about how original and indy that show felt. I really loved it growing up, and hopefully a whole new generation will find it and love the series.

I am hyped for my new job. December was a nightmare for us and we were all working 60 hours a week. Well the boss finally hired two new ad reps to sell ads and that frees him up to build ads, meaning he wants me to take over building the pages and laying out the paper. It isn't exactly editor but it will eventually lead to editor once I get through my training and that is a step above staff writer. No word on $$$ yet but fingers crossed there is a bump.

I spent too many years of my life thinking I was stuck before I saw the light and made a positive change and I am always happy to see others doing the same.

It is a little late but I was super excited to be a part of a political forum for my newspaper. We sponsored and moderated the local county candidates and I was co-moderator and official time keeper. I also got to meet several of the candidates and give out a few of my business cards. One candidate said all the right things, he was running for DA, but when I met him in person he was a complete asshole and now I am torn, vote based on principals or personality.
Anyways as a newspaper writer I can't really share my opinions publicly anyways, not meaning here as its a rules thing anyways, but I want to tell people the guy was a complete asshole. The other candidates at least acted like I matter, you know being press and all that. But I guess DA is one office that probably doesn't care much for the press anyways. Not like the ones running for Sheriff they know they are going to have to deal with us so kissing our ass is just a way of life for them.
But all things considered it was a lot of fun, and the TV crew was there so I was briefly on local television plus the "other" newspaper was there and we got to rub it in we got to control the ordeal they were just there to cover our press event.

Pet Shop Boys release their newest album on Apr. 1, 2016. Circle that date, people! It's called Super.
They just released another track from the album titled The Pop Kids which you could listen to here:
There is also Inner Sanctum that they released last month:
After fading a bit with some so-so albums in the late 90's and early 2000's, they have suddenly had a resurgence with their album Yes and have been cranking out some topnotch stuff. Their last album in 2013, Electric, is one of the best albums they've put out over their career and so far this new album looks to be following on that albums style although a bit more softer and mellow. Can't wait for it!

I got to follow police during a high speed chase that went right through my town. Speeds in excess of 110 miles per hour suspect went through three counties before getting stopped by our local police and I got the photo on my front page. It was pure adrenaline rush. TV crews were also in pursuit. Criminal is now sitting in jail on a $2.5 million dollar bond. I just wish I could have had that Bad Boys song blasting in the stereo during the pursuit.

Escaflowne, one of my all-time favorite anime series, is FINALLY getting released this year in North America on BluRay with the missing scenes restored. Funimation also wants to create a new dub for the entire series, which it really needs. Problem is, they went to Kickstarter for it. Hearing any update on the Escaflowne BR release is very exciting news! Maybe there will be additional updates on more of Bandai’s old licenses soon.
I’m still on the fence about supporting the Kickstarter, though. It’s tempting, but the pricing makes it expensive to pick up the whole series (particularly with the low Canadian dollar). I do love me some Escaflowne, but I’d honestly be happy with just subtitle-only Blurays, especially if it means a lower price.

I just bought tickets to see the United States play Costa Rica in Copa America Centeniaro this summer in Chicago. I've never had the chance to see the national team play in person, so to be able to be a part of the biggest soccer tournament held in the United States since the 1994 World Cup is going to be huge.

I wrote a letter to my congressman a couple of weeks ago addressing a certain hot topic in the media right now. He took the time to give me a personal phone call to discuss my views on the issue. We've talked before a couple times, I have interviewed him from time to time. But it still feels great to be recognized by someone important once in a while.
Also they served lasagna at the sports banquet I went to last night. First banquet to serve edible food all season.

As a Knicks fan, I used to get annoyed by how many foreign Bulls fans I'd have to take **** from when I traveled overseas. But just like Michael Jordan created a whole bunch of basketball fans, Zinedine Zidane in the '98 WC and '00 Euros showed me how exciting association football could be. To continue the sports theme, I'm very hyped to see my Cleveland Indians on a hot streak, winning three in a row against the defending champion Royals to take back the division lead. Our pitching is just ridiculously good, and if they can continue hitting even close to this well they could go all the way.

I don't know what you are hating on the Pens for. I can't think of a better way to honor Ed Snider's legacy than for the Penguins franchise to double the number of cups won compared to the Flyers franchise and to do so with a rookie goaltender in homage to the solid goaltending the Flyers have always had to give themselves so many playoff victories. (And on the subject, I though it was terrible how the Flyers put in Michael Neuvirth in net for games 4-6 and posted a couple wins when Steve Mason was working so hard to stick to the goaltending ideals that Snider had championed for decades in Philly.)
But let's move past the negativity and into the positivity. 1 win away from another Stanley Cup. Shutting down the high scoring Sharks and dominating like 90% of the play. Just incredible. I wish it was Thursday already. I want to binge watch this series now, I tells ya!
Here's hoping Phil Kessel scores 4 goals to become the top playoff goal scorer and win the Conn Smythe Trophy and make a mockery of the Toronto media. Maybe eat a full pack of hot dogs on Thursday Phil to give yourself that extra boost!

Mason was lights out down the stretch and was by far the biggest reason we got as far as we did. Ironically, goaltending is currently a major strength of the Flyers, while the rest is up in the air. We've got a GM who doesn't trade all his draft picks and young talent for guys in their late 30s now and have built a pretty fantastic crop of prospects. They're going to be scary good in a couple of years. I'm going to be over here being hyped about that and not paying attention to what's going on in the present NHL.

I am just continually hyped that my Cleveland Indians continue to dominate with their downright ridiculously good pitching rotation. Today they improved to 9-0 on the season against their rival the Detroit Tigers, who in recent seasons always got the better of the Tribe even when they were playing well.

Penn beat Cornell 42-20 yesterday to win a share of its second consecutive Ivy League football title and moved into a tie with Dartmouth with 18 titles overall. Penn and Harvard have dominated the ancient eight since the league dropped to I-AA/FCS in 1982 and this inches the Quakers past the Crimson with 18 overall titles to 17. Next year, Penn returns the WR and RB from the league's best skill position trio, so this sets up a big run in 2017 for the overall Ivy record.

Very hyped for the Six Nations starting tomorrow. On paper it looks to be very competitive despite England and Ireland being clear favorites. England are obviously unbeaten under Jones (and looking great doing it) and Ireland are coming off a spectacular autumn and a promising summer. The schedules are pretty even too. Both have two very difficult road games, and although Ireland get England at home, England looks to have more potential for bonus points. Right now I'm predicting a reversal of 2014 when England beat Ireland but lost the championship on points differential: England will lose in Dublin but still win the title on points total.
However, Wales can still be formidable, and hosts both Ireland and England, so they are a dark horse. And Scotland has been playing much better the last couple of years even if they don't have the wins to show for. They definitely have the dynamism to challenge for second place on the table if they can eliminate the late game mistakes.
France, as always, are an enigma. The Fofana loss is huge and they still can't get consistency and proper selection of the halfbacks. However, they always have a collection of players that can beat any team in the world. Unfortunately, their international game is hampered by the priority they give their domestic league. They play more games and in a much more attritional style. To put it bluntly, the players are too fat and therefore can't meet their athletic potential. You only need to look at the Vunipola brothers to see how much performance can be improved by taking sports science seriously. If the Top 14 had the professionalism of the UEFA or North American sports leagues I believe they would consistently be among the very best teams in the world.
I like the noise out of the Italy camp. Obviously they have the recent South Africa win, but it's been mostly dreadful for them at the international and club levels. Conor O'Shea is a very promising hire and he and the great Sergio Parisse will have them very dangerous at home, particularly early. Hosting Wales first, which maybe present the best style match-up for them, will be a great tone setter. Regardless, they don't usually have the depth to hold up during the later rounds.
