Title: How to Repair Your Lace Wig
Post by: Lace Wigs on February 02, 2012, 04:37:08 AM
I bought my Lace Wig from a local store for $250.00 on sale and it was beautiful, that's until it began to lose a few hairs and a little tare appeared on the lace! Let's start by Shampooing and let your Lace Wig Air-dry.

When dry you could hold the wig up to the light to see where you've lost the most hair. After you've located the thin spots braid the other areas out of the way. Now you can begin to build up the thin areas that have loss so much hair and repair any ripped areas!
Here are a few simple tips on how to care for and repair your lace wigs!

1 Repair:
Turn Your lace wig inside out, place on a manikin head.
Take a small needle and some nylon thread to repair the tare. If you've lost a lot of netting you will have to make a patch to fill in the area.
For this you can use, a similar net fabric that you can purchase from the fabric store. You can also cut a small piece of your neutral or flesh color pantyhose and sew it in just to fill in what you have lost now using tiny stitches sew it in place to replace what was lost and lock stitch it in with a few small knots and cut.

2 Now start filling in the thin areas in the front on the lace wig:
Using A Ventilation Needle and Holder, Use The Bulk Hair of like color follow the instruction link below to start adding the bulk hair one to no more than three strands of hair at a time. Making a Wig is just like making a Rug.  full lace wigs!!!

The First thing that you must do is:
(If your right handed) Hold the needle in your right hand insert the needle through the hole and come back up through another hole.

Next, Grab the hair in your other hand and hold in a loop. full lace human hair wigs Put the hair near the needle and with the hook pull the loop through just about 1/2 inch or less.

Then once the loop is through the hole then with the needle still in place slide the needle down and again with Celebrity Lace Wigs  the hook go back and grab the ends of the hair by winding the needle around the hair a couple of times and pull it through the hole to secure!

3 REMEMBER: To Pull the hair through in the direction that you want the hair to fall in when your finished.

Now repeat this until you have the thickness you desire!
Yes this will take you some time but once you learn how to do it you'll get faster and faster!
Remember to knot each strand after you pull it through! Your lace front wigs and Lace Wigs will look as good as new or even better! Once you get the hang of it!

This is utter fiddle-faddle and tish-tosh nonsense. Anyone who is anyone knows that a horsehair wig is the only wig for a gentleman.

You could have at least deleted the SPAM links.  We don't want to encourage spammers by some idiot forum member curious about lace wigs actually clicking through the links.

If you're really interested in a lace wig, google it.

Or you could alter the link to direct to a competitor's website instead.

How to Repair Your Horsehair Wig

First, obtain some damn horse hair. Have the groundskeeper or stableman go and shoot one of the older nags. What the hell are they good for anyway, hmm? I swear we keep that old Arabian around just for sentimental reasons. She can't go on the hunt anymore. What's the point? I suppose its fun for the grandchildren to ride her around the pole at Beltaine or on St. Swithens, but other than that, just shoot her already and save on some feed. Keep the hair, tell cook to use what she can, and ship the rest off to the glue factory. No tears, now. Just get on with it. There's a good lad.

Or, if one of the swifties breaks a leg during fox hunt, you could shoot that one and use the hair. That new American Quarter-Horse has got some fine spirit, but he's clearly not used to the countyside 'round here. I'll wager he'll be the first to break his leg when the snow melts off the moors. If you can wait 'till then, you might get some of his hair. And fine hair it is. Might make a decent blanket as well.

Once you've got the horsehair, have the head of household contact the haberdasher or perhaps the milliner. They'll know what to do. No, no, there's no point in taking the hair to that wig shoppe in the village. The man's a complete nincompoop. I won't hear of it, do you understand? If I catch any more of the chambermaids even so much as talking about that infernal man and his idiotic wig shoppe, not to mention his scatterbrained, no-good, temptress of a wife, they'll be sacked immediately. Is that clear? Good. Now let's speak of it no more.

So, there you have it. That's how you repair a wig. A Gentleman's wig, that is. Now, I'll be at the Town House on business for a few days starting Tuesday next. I'll expect full wig repairs to be completed upon my return the following Friday. And I'll be in late that day, so tell cook to just leave a cold supper on the sideboard in the drawing room. And prepare the fire in there and in my chambers. And for God's sake, make sure there's enough brandy in the vessel in the drawing room this time, or there'll be hell to pay, I can tell you that.

Easier question would be "who here does not use a lace wig?" As always, thank you for the excellent reporting.

Well, that was a considerate spammer - at least they posted in the singular "wig repair" thread we already had.  I'm tempted to unban them just for that.  The ability to stay on topic is something that is rare now-a-days.

Yes, but, of course, it HAS to include existing, beloved Nintendo IP.
Thus is born the sequel to Banzai Barber.
