ATI AIW 9700 pro

I have an ATI 9000 pro, nice card.  Go with an nVidia card or ATI card, which you are pretty much forced to do anyhow.  I would go at least GeForce 3 ti 500 or better, or ATI 9000 or better.

There's no cut-and-dry answer to this question.  You could plunk down the money for the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, but if you have a slower computer, you're going to be wasting that money because your CPU won't be able to deliver information to the card fast enough.

GeForce4 Ti4200's have come down in price enough where they should be a compelling buy.

With specs that low, your computer would probably bottleneck a Radeon 9700 Pro.    I would go for a Radeon 9500 or a GeForce4 if I were you.  At the lower end, a GeForce3 Ti200, or a Radeon 8500 would probably serve you well.  In that range is the way to go though.

Just don't get anything that says MX on it.

I second the 8500 vote. I have the All In Wonder 8500 and love it. Just wish the speed was on par with the rest of the 8500 elite cards.
