Title: Where Do Babies Come From?
Post by: ABlueflameA on July 27, 2005, 05:50:06 AM
No, I'm not seriously asking that question.  However, our infamous friend, SPoNG is reporting that "Where Do Babies Come From" is the title of the sequel to "Feel The Magic".  If this is truly the case, then Feel the Magic is continuing to produce new and bizarre things, just as it should.

Impressions of the name? Feelings about the first game?  Ideas for crazy mini-games?
Post them here!

When a man... needs to prove to a woman that he’s actual... When a man loves a woman, and he actually wants to make love, uh, to her, something very, very special happens, and uh, with deep, deep concentration and-and great focus, he’s often able to achieve an erec...

"No, I'm not seriously asking that question."

Oh, well that's good. Because it was about to get a little, eh, gross.

I hope this Feel the Magic is longer than the last.

Sounds like it's going to be a flying game where you play as a stork....

Where do babies come from?

Wal-Mart...aisle 15, next to the Milk Duds.

I do like this name for the game though, adds originallity to it.  More than likely it'll change for us Americans though.

I like Feel the Magic, but having played Wario Ware, I think it falls a little short.  I feel the experience in and of itself is worth owning the game for, but now that I've had the experience, I don't think it will be as special the second time....soooo...Sega needs to beef up on the gameplay basics.

I think the two main problems with the game were that it made you play the same thing over and over again, and it didn't have any scoring system.  In the case of playing things over and over again, it worked fine for certain games, but for others it became tedious or frustrating.  I thought the Dance game was killed by tedious repetition (hit button x three times in a row...over and over again).

As for scoring, there's really a limit to how long you can replay the game, because once you beat all the games, there's nothing left.  Sega tried to compensate for that by making the games fairly hard, but to me that just means the game is both frustrating and limited in it's replay value.

If Sega can improve the next game in those areas, I'll be there.  More games would be great too, of course.

How much you want to bet the name gets changed to "Feel the Love" or something equally PC when it comes to the states?

Sega presents: How do ALL mammals (including humans) reproduce sexually? for Nintendo DS!

As long as there's a sequel I'm happy. For a Zelda by anyother name would rock just as much.

I'm surprised Sega is willing to make a sequel, considering that the first game bombed.

I agree with couchmonkey that they really need to make some big improvements for the sequel. FTM is a good game in its own right, but WW: Touched blows it away. I already own two "mini-game games" for the DS, and I'm not sure if I'm willing to buy yet another.

A million points to Paladin for excellent reference material.

But it didn't bomb...which is why they are making this sequel. It sure as heck didn't go gangbusters at retail or anything but apparently it was a modest success.

The first game was noticeably rushed, and as cool as it was, I thought it definitely felt short. Having beaten just normal mode, I also have to say that I havent gone back to the game since. I really think however, that this sequel is going to see an ass-ton of extra content integrated and I wouldn't put it past Sega to include some sort of weird online functionality. Say, trading bras or bunny ears or some such. The first game was hell-bent on utilizing every DS feature possible, and now a new one in Nintendo WiFi is available...
