Have you guys seen the new screen shots? This game is an instant Million seller w/o a doubt.

I would just direct link them, but thats agaisnt the rules, and I can't locate the page they are on cause I can't read Japanese, so here are some other links:

DQ: Swords 4 Wii

More where that came from

edit:
Here is a video of Swords in action

The game has nice graphics and looks like fun for a while, but the videos left me wondering if it's too repetitive.

I thought it might be great as a battle system for a real RPG.  As an on-rails sword fighter I don't know how long it will sustain interest.
That's my opinion, not yours.

Is it normal in DQ games to have your party travel with a French hooker?

I thought this was just a hack and slash game?  Or is it a real DQ game in the first person perspective?

I heard the game this is suppose to be a sequel for was really good, it had it's own set top box and did something similar to the Wii.  I've been looking forward to this game when it was announced but what is the launch date darn it.

I want that game....

ooooohhh, that looks fun.

I wonder if this'll be the game that awakens in me the slightest bit of interest in the Dragon Quest series (which has largely been a "Japan can have it" franchise to me thus far).

Any idea of what the controls are like?

This looks to be DQ's version of FF: Mystic Quest. And that's a good thing in my book.

They've already said it will be released in the US.

And yes, this is awesome. Looking at this, this reminds me of trailers of games which I'd watch which I knew were never coming to a console I owned.

It blows my mind that Nintendo will be getting this game.

Color me impressed!

The one thing I am worried about is if the gameplay becomes repetitive after the first two levels. But it looks like Square is going to be dropping a lot of new things that will hopefully keep things fresh.

I just got DQ VIII back, and I also got Rocket slime for the DS, so I will be trying to soak in the DQ universe as much as possible.

I've yet to play a canon DQ game, but I have a lot of faith in this one, mainly because this pangs of a game that Enix would have liked to do years ago but the right console never existed until now.

The Kenshin DQ, the "spiritual" prequel to this game, strikes me as one of those pet projects by someone high-up in the company who really wanted to take the idea further but it couldn't bank on the success of any particular console since it was a standalone device.

I'm betting whoever the higher-up was must have immediately thought of Kenshin when he saw the Wiimote.

Thus, I expect a great deal of passion will go into the creation of this game and passion ALWAYS improves quality.

This is a must-have for me.
