Nintendo Gaming / Pinging the Pong with Rockstar!

The nightmare of living in a Wii Play world of ping pong is almost to an end as Rockstar has announced that their Xbox 360 darling, Table Tennis, will be making its way over to Nintendo's world of waggle.

Another rumour confirmed. Nice to see Rockstar/Take2 using some common sense for a change.

What part of "new" did you guys not understand? If the current version had good stylus control it wouldn't need a new one.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Was anyone else disappointed by E3 this year?

I found E3 very disappointing. But I thought Nintendo's showing was great, just as good as anyone's. The show just felt much more insignificant.

AW should be stylus only. It should be fast and exact. There's no excuse for anything else.

That's why I said intuitive touch screen controls. Just slapping them onto an old system doesn't do any good. You need an interface that's designed for them.

And if they have the same graphics...ew. How many times are they going to remake Advance Wars? Do something fresh with the series!

This looks so bad. That's what you get for letting SEGA do anything.

Hopefully new graphics and a much more sensible, intuitive touch-screen control system.

People who are talking about the Americas generally say the Americas. It'd be funny if there was something odd about saying that. But there isn't. PA teh suxors.

This game would have been much better if it had actually been a platformer which actual platforming obstacles.

That's exactly the wrong kind of thinking Nintendo needs.  There's way too much brand loyalty to the Playstation name, and if a new PSP comes out, armed with whatever that FFVII prequel is, don't you think things could slide a little closer to Sony's favor?  Just because the PSP may lose this generation doesn't mean it won't build up it's brand, and barring the same mistakes Sony made on the PS3, that could be fierce competition for Nintendo's next handheld.  To me, outselling the PSP in a 2:1 ratio doesn't scream domination as much as what Nintendo did to the N-Gage or the Neo Geo Pocket Color.  If that ratio shifts more and more to Sony's side, that's a bad thing, even if Nintendo is ahead at the end.

Anyway, it needs to be called the PSP ReduX and abbreviated PSP Rx.  That's just me, though.

But a large portion of the PSP's audience is not the audience that bought the GBA. The DS has already surpassed the GBA in Japan, for example.

I bet if one of the control options sucks and is at a disadvantage...no one will use it!

I am no Smash Bros. expert but doesn't the sideways remote kind of limit your button possibilities?

I'll say it because it needs to be said and we might as well get it out of the way:

Zelda II is for fans but Kid Icarus is for everyone? WHAT. THE. HELL.

Now we can move on.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Manhunt 2 from Rockstar? Whoa...
« on: June 04, 2007, 12:27:49 AM »
It's cute that you guys find things like "communication" and "teamwork" to be so innocent. But, uh, the major difference between the military games and Manhunt is that those military skils are actually intended to make them more effect at their job...killing people! Now if it was like "SUPER Navy: Build Sandbag Dams in Rain Affected Areas" you might have a point.

Notice the games he talks about when referring to Legends.
Both of these engines suite MML style game play just fine.

Also MML3 is not targertted towards Wii's core audience.
Only older gamers remember Legends and MML3 would be an epic rpg with a couple of mildly hard action set pieces.
It's the polar opposite of everything Nintendo is pimping right now.

Also history, MM has done well portables, but consoles not so much.
Remember how well the last exclusive MegaMan sold on a Nintendo console?

Mega Man 64? AKA Legends?

I think this merely proves that Capcom's murder of the Mega Man series is actually the result of not enough executive interference!

I would actually believe that if the mini and the shell weren't in it or the overworld map, and Bowser Jr.

The idea being that it's the original SMB made with the knowledge of future games.
