Huh I always forget about Minecraft, thank Soren! For the longest time I was convinced it was a free download game, but I guess not if they managed to sell so many. Kinda bizarre to think I've never played it, or heck even seen it IRL. Different demographic I guess.

The crazy thing is, the next highest selling game (Super Mario Bros.) sold have as many units as GTAV (40 million vs 80 million). 40 million is, for all intents and purposes, a **** ton of games. Also 21/50 of those games were published by Nintendo, and another 5 are Pokémon games. Skyrim could potentially move past NSMB if it does well on Switch.

Did they really release Pikmin and Ever Oasis in the same week? That seems misguided no, even if you're only mining the hardcore Nintendo audience, they're probably gonna pick the established brand over the new wildcard. Putting out a new RPG against the Final Fantasy juggernaut just reeks of poor decisionmaking imo, at least Pikmin is proper counter-programming to FF.
