That's a good price for Europeans but the 3DS is regional locked and I haven't heard of anyone breaking that yet.
29 pounds = $44.  Not a bad price at all, in the US RE isn't bundled (as far as anyone knows) and is priced at $50 with the Circle pad another $20.

Yeah not everyone lives in the US ;D But it does feel like I posted this for me and Greg.

It's out 1 day before my bday. Thanks Capcom.

Two questions for you Americans who bought the game. How much in total USD was the process to import the game? And what homebrew region-free loader did you use?

Look in the other thread :) *tries not to be a nazi*

I don't get why I have to hold C to move the camera, the Dpad does nothing when no menu is open so it could just as well move the camera when it has nothing better to do.

Anyway, the game has a very good flow to it, never makes you feel "yeah, that's it, I'm stopping now".
I was too lazy to get my classic controller pro out at first but now I have and have I've never looked back. It's far FAR better than remote and nun chuck.

I'm 10hrs in now and I just got onto the thingies leg. My jaw dropped. It's one huge area without load times, countless enemies of many variaties. One of which is around 100ft tall and level 80. I stayed clear of that thing. This is amazing and worth the wait.

Nintendo Gaming / Xenoblade Chronicles - Impressions
« on: August 19, 2011, 03:56:01 PM »

Hope its ok for a new thread for actual gameplay impressions..?

Mine turned up today :) I immediately turned the sleeve and it's lovely. Only two hours in (obviously barely anything) but I have to say it's better than I was expecting. The world is large but not bare. There is plenty to find and monsters to grind with. The voice acting is.. It's ok.. It's kinda nice to hear different british dialects at least. I imagine americans usually notice differences in most games with american actors too but as a brit you all sound the same :P

There's an overwhelming amount of things to see, do and collect. I can imagine the side missions alone will take me to the Wii U launch. For someone not used to playing or liking this kind of rpg it can be dizzying but the ease of the fighting system keeps me happy to stroll along at my own amateurs pace.

Oh I just posted this in the Xenoblade thread:

I really don't blame them for keeping volumes of the game low. Displays in GAME and Gamestation (owned by GAME) for anything other than Modern warfare, Battlefield or WoW is little to none existent. I hunted for Endless Ocean 2 on the day of release and was met with "No"'s and "What's that?". When I bought Galaxy 2 from GAME (yes I normally order online but I had trades so shoot me) They'd not even put it on the shelf yet. It was lunch time.

It really gets my goat.

Damn you NoA.  I'd love to have this game and The Last Story without having to resort to homebrew.

Pre-ordered this today :) I've gone from having burnt through all my games like a good boy to becoming a Lindy.

I even bought a smaller 22" tv for my room because the Wii on the big telly in the living room looked pretty awful for some games (not all). Galaxy and most 1st party games are fine. Older ones like Twilight Princess looked a mess. Yes I have all the right leads.

Anyway, yeh.. Xenoblade ftw etc.

Awesome show as always. Hope Johnny's family member/s is ok?!?

I really want to play Mighty Milky Way(forward). I will look into acquiring this.

Where as most David Lynch movies are more of an art to admire than your typical popcorn flicks, I think Killer 7 is itself best watched while someone else has an awful time playing it. I just wish I hadn't been that someone else each time. It's not a bad game, just a frustrating experience from start to finish. I feel like if it was released as a Summer Of Arcade title on XBLA today it would be lapped up. There's no denying though there's just something about K7..

Anyone else find that Deadly Premonition has a lot of the same traits? Humour, awful controls and overall oddballness? (Yes I just made up a word).

Oh and p.s edit: I didn't vote for anything. I just like demolishing my soul apparently.

Your 1st and 4th points are the same :S

I'll be getting it because I haven't played through it for many years and yeh, it's worth top dollar. There's a lot of content and replay value. I got it on VC but the controls don't fit the classic controller. I found most N64 games don't. Probably just my spaz hands. I don't get on with the PS3 controller either.

I really wish they'd gone with a more radical design. Something that looks like it has more ooomph than the Wii. I think the early pictures of it looked like one mean son of a gun. The average joe might get confused seeing it on shelves looking like a Wii but costing twice as much. If the boxing is pure white with the same Wii fonts and the added blue U then idiot mom and stupid dad might look a little :confused;

- For the scene in Lon Lon ranch where Ingo chooses to be a sore loser and lock the doors so Link can't get out - originally he wanted to have Ingo burn the ranch down in reaction to that. But then someone brought up "well, what do we do when people go back to the ranch after that?" and that's when Miyamoto chose to give up on that idea.

That made me Lol Lol Ranch ;D

This is 50% of the Wii U that they can't afford to mess up if they really are trying to reach every gamer. It's maddening really. All the answers are a google search away Nintendo. Please, SHOW US THE MONEY!
